Why is God important?

From whose perspective?

Humans, of course. If someone writes a story to be read by humans, on Earth, and the story referred to a day as a morning and an evening, what else would that human assume other than it was a normal day on Earth?

God is not a human being, so it has to be from the perspective of God.
