Why don’t they make safes out of aluminum?

Yes, that is what every development in safe construction was all about.

What good is tracking it if it doesn't move?
Damn it I just saw some teslas being machined just like I envisioned…

I’m not taking about a vault. Thought you could plant a tracker in a gold bar and place it into a vault. A safe that can be bolted into a cars trunk, Has a tracker, and is both thick and light.

We were talking about safes. Generally, thieves don't make off with the whole safe. We were talking about breaking into a safe in situ. No tracking needed.
Unless it's a home safe. Sometimes they do just take the whole safe. Usually it's not necessary though because most are cheap and not very secure.

They might be hard to force your way into (or not) but they may have a combination that's visible and a keyed entry behind a concealed cover plate that is easy to pick.

Some home safes even have holes in the back for wall mounting, aren't mounted and if you know what you are doing you can just use a wire to trip the latch. Some can even be tripped with a strong neodymium magnet.

It's like a lot of "high security" padlocks that are difficult to but open but are easy to pick open.

I'm sure it's difficult to get into bank safes though. Why bother though. This days I'm sure wire fraud is easier than bank safe cracking.:)
