Why are religions, especially Christianity, always banned in countries like North Korea or the USSR?

Sometimes religion can be useful to a regime, so that's not a universal feature or tendency (for such).
Classic Marxism would have a doctrinal commitment to materialism. But aside from that, one might assume any hostility toward religion could stem from a need to reduce the ideological competition, to maximize worship of the state.
With regard to NK, especially, one can't have rival threats to the personality cult lingering around. And the latter is obviously rogue with regard to accepting demigods. Surely no equivalent of the League of Militant Atheists at work there.

The religion is often replaced with the ideology, such as communism in the Soviet Union replacing Christianity.

No one said it was better, they are both equally bad. Communism and Christianity destroy humanity.
Societies existing with reasonable and rational ideologies exist. Communism and Christianity are neither.

Sometimes the religion IS the totalitarian regime. I refer you to the theocracies in Europe and Africa over time and various Islamic states.

North Korea can call itself what it wants that does not mean that is what it is. Look at their election process, does that read like a democratic society?

Насчёт Запада: сейчас главным аргументам для всех пропагандистов служит тот, что Запад морально и нравственно разложился, что извращенцы всех мастей уже начинают главенствовать в обществе, и нормальные люди становятся уже едва ли ни чем то неприличным. Что вы можете им на это возразить?

Но за них проголосовало не менее половины избирателей. Значит, американское общество расколото? Что является "камнем преткновения?" Что сделало одну половину общества непримиримой по отношению к другой?

Do I need to respond to that? Islamic states probably think the UK should be an Islamic state too. Some in the UK want the return of the caliphate. I would like to think most Muslims in the country do not support FGM, terrorism, anti semitism, anti women, anti gay and installation of Sharia.
Others would like us to have stricter Christian values and laws based on that. Abortion, gay marriage, creationism taught in the science class.
Our laws are overwhelmingly secular, inclusive and we have free elections.
I think we are doing ok on the whole.
