true but they can grow out of it
LOL I know I did. 'Round about third grade.
true but they can grow out of it
Trust is unconditional, conditional trust is not trust.
How in your opinion, would the assertion "God exists" correspond with reality in a way that would convince you of its truth?
I would trust your nutritional assessment but I would not trust your physics assessment. I conditionally trust you.
Produce an instance of it or produce an effect of it that is beyond the ability of humans to fake (ex. pray the statue of liberty into solid diamond).
Crunchy Cat:
Do you think blacks are stupid? Based on IQ tests?
You don't know what my physics assessment would be.![]()
Ah, magic. Again, this is a typical response from atheists.
I do know enough about your biases that I wouldn't trust it though; hence, I conditionally trust you.
That claim of 'God' is pretty magical don't you think? An omnipotent life form that performs magical miracles, creates magical places for people's magical souls to go when they die, etc.
You've seen IQ tests on atheists that separated for religious bias?
I have no biases in physics. You should read my posts there.![]()
How do you know its magical?
*cringes*
I'm just using the same word you did. We could call it oogityboogity but the result (or absence of) will be the same.
They mostly reign in the region of "I don't understand this".
Yeh, I find it fascinating that for most atheists, God is an old man in a robe and a beard who waves a wand.
Does he? I assume you are referring to a particular God.
My question is: how do YOU know its magic and not something else?
Any claimed 'God' of a major religion would suffice.
It doesn't really matter what "it is" as long as the claim can be demonstrated.
So basically, your beliefs are based on accepting the basic premise of someone else's claim as true.
an example being: in Genesis God brings a flood down on the earth to kill all humanity accept for Noah and his family and a number of animals. It rains for 40 days until "the mountains were covered to a depth of 15 cubits" and then they floated at that level for 150 days.
now if we assume that the climate has stayed the same and that Everest has remained its current height since the beginning of time then Noah would have surely died because of 2 reasons.
1. he would have frozen to death. they would have been in -19 Celsius temperatures for 5 months with nothing but maybe the equivalent in warmth to a burlap sack.
2. The air is about 33% thinner at that height and along with freezing to death they would have been struggling to be able to get a full breath of air.
Between those 2 factors everyone on board the ark should have been dead within 2-4 months and would have never made it to land safely on mount Ararat.
Is there any evidence for either's existence.
Nice, relevance to their senselessness please, being happy doesn't change a thing.
And I don't have issues with mentaly handicapped people, I especialy don't want to attack them.people in a asylums are happy, Retarded/down syndrome people are happy
Just because it has happened does not mean it will happen in every given future scenario......I can make that judgment, as it happened so many times before.
If she would not obey her god, could she really call herself a Christian.
Le 18:4"You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the Lord your God".
Acts 5:29 "We must obey God rather than men!
1Jo 5:3 "This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome
."Very likely given the right incentive.
The religious have learnt nothing over the centuries. but it wasn't atheism, that caused them to be evil, atheism has no dogma, no churches, and above all no beliefs
If your not atheist now, then you never were.
Why not, if given the same incentives they do the same thing else, they are just pseudo religious.
Sorry dont think so, atheists have verifiable evidence, for there statements, The religious are only being bitchy
.Oh wow. do come on now your being childish of course they can, until the delusion takes precedence
.Agreed, but those are the pseudo religious
As I said before, the history of the religion, give me reason to be careful.
Got it.
That because throughout history people have killed other people simply because they didn't follow there religion.
