Really? I had never heard that, but then again I'm not Catholic. What is the reasoning?

Probably because they were considered imperfect and thus not made holy by the Lord. Of course most people (wisely) take such statements with a grain of salt.
Getting back to the subject at hand, no pun intended, I don't think it is a "date" when you buy a prostitute just to have sex with. A date usually lasts 3 to 4 hours or more if your having a good time whereas the prostitute won't be with you for more than 1 hour, unless you pay more money . Dates usually have interesting things to discuss and perhaps you can actually learn some new things with a date but prostitutes only want sex and then leave, not much to discuss with them.

From what I've experienced many prostitutes move around allot, for various reasons and when you try to call for them , they either moved or can't be reached. Hmm, not sure, a high sex drive is basically an "intention" ; a man does not need to give a woman control over him if he doesn't want to.
Knowing what one wants and going after it often makes sure one gets what one wants, which can be sex;
though i suppose men with higher sex-drives will quicker switch to prostitutes if(if) not getting what they want from a girlfriend.
Actually it's the opposite of what you said re men with a low sex drive. My low sex drive makes it difficult for me to be attracted to women who aren't out of my league. The only way I can have sex with a girl I really find sexy is if she's a call girl.
