Who is your favorite philosopher?

Why should I have a problem ?
I was just surprised at you seeming surprised at SAM's quote, as if you never thought of that before.

I made a comment that i enjoyed the quote SAM posted (it shared a quality item of truth)

Just like; ......... 'life: purposed to continue"

and for some reason; you could not comprehend that or have the capability of inquiring with any integrity.

Now you making a comment on the post of SAM as if you are even capable to comprehend the difference of instinctive life and conscious life.

Instinctive life, just DOES and once 'purposed' it will do as it does and never need to lie about it; but you do. That is your problem!

that is kind of cool

basically means the "instinctive" can do no wrong; they follow the laws naturally.

Imagination is beyond instinct. Pick up any scifi comic.

Basically it means that we have the power to imagine ways to destroy everything around us. Our responsibility comes because we have the power to choose not to do so. Because we can imagine that as well.

Which is precisely why the argument "but animals kill other animals as well" is not a valid argument when discussing animal cruelty.

Animals have no imagination. Isn't that what separates us lowly humans from them? Isn't that why we have a responsibility that they do not?

Which is my point. Although, I'm hesitant to assert that animals by definition don't have any imagination.

I'll be glad to distribute some responsibility to them, if they do. :p

Well I'm assuming animals (which include humans) didn't acquire imagination overnight.
When in our history did we acquire imagination ?

When we began to tell stories to each other, I imagine.

The Piraha still lack it. And hence lack stories.

I believe the Piraha are still considered "human" so I assume there is more to it than that.

Bonobos are more advanced than we are. They've discovered how to live without conflict. Or perhaps like the Piraha they lack the imagination required to indulge in it.

Uh.. I read Piranha lol
What are Piraha's ?

It doesn't have to be so black and white though.
What do you consider a valid definition of 'imagination' ?

Did you know, one of the reasons you wear a helmit when you walk is that you will kill life just by existing?
Who wears a helmet when walking?

Cruelty does not exist in nature. They don't need to wear a helmit like you because they can live without being a 'loss to the common.'
Erm: "you will kill life just by existing".
Of course cruelty exists in nature.

i agree, as when conscious was born (apple story), then choice and the ability of imagining we are not 'from the garden' is why mankind believes he is greater than natures reality.

Mankind created the comic books people use for relgions.

Basically it means that we have the power to imagine ways to destroy everything around us.
and why the differences of beliefs are not what to focus on but the combining fact that we were all born from nature.

Our responsibility comes because we have the power to choose not to do so.
The best choice is honesty and representing that which is true over that which is believed true.

All lies (jinn) were born from the words of mankinds creations.

Nature(God) don't fib, man does. (best philosophy any person can begin life with)

I swear I can comprehend many people who are abstruse, but Bishadi is beyond me. :(

adams apple story.... the day of choice....... (eat/don't eat fruit)... was sharing that choice was known (consciousness was born)

the day mankind left the garden (he began to use his imagination and think he was separate from mother nature)

instinctive critters don't make up stories; mankind does

since mothernature(God) is what enabled all life (created by)... then to isolate ourselves from nature (God) is the greatest 'bad' mankind has ever done.

and the perfect examples are the books many base religions from; created by mankind and islolates man/women from reality by imposing 'beliefs' over truths.

was that clear enough?

i was suggesting that instinctive critters are not the beasts of existence

Look around at the world and ask yourself; what is the greatest monster this earth ever knew?
