So...I have been reading this thread since the Op. Somehow or another it has morphed into a is to/is not - why/why not on purported conspiracy theories.
Conspiracy theories are real similar to that final spherical muscle at the end of our colon ; seems most everybody has at least one - but would prefer to talk of or point out everybody else's.
At any rate, the point of my Post is to ask if any Conspiracy Theories ever turned out to be true - as in they were not just theories after all?
Of course I think of the Earth being flat and the Sun revolving around the Earth (center of the universe) - but they may not qualify because evidently there are a few stalwarts that still do not believe the current Zeitgeist
I would like to hear of anyone who can point out some previous conspiracy theories that were eventually proven not to just be theories at all.
One that comes to my mind was that stupid conspiracy theory that some big-wig was receiving fellatio in an oval office.
Anyway, does anyone have any?
p.s. - I have been accused of being a conspiracy theorist because, to this very day, I claim to be able to boil water in a paper cup by setting it directly on a burning campfire made of wood.
