Just a quick hi from me from <a href="http://www2b.abc.net.au/science/techtalk/">Tech Talk</a> (<a href="http://www2b.abc.net.au/science/k2/stn/">SSSF's</a> spinoff technology forum). Tech Talkers are always willing to answer any technology-related questions that you may have (though for topics such as "virus", it may be best to search through the previous threads!). :)

On another note; The posts at <a href="http://www2b.abc.net.au/science/k2/stn/">SSSF</a>, <a href="http://www2b.abc.net.au/science/techtalk/">TT</a>, <a href="http://www2b.abc.net.au/science/scribblygum/">SG</a> and ABC forums are timestamped UTC (GMT) +10:00 when there isn't daylight saving.

G'day to you, RWW. Welcome to Sciforums. You will find a computer section here that I am sure that you ahve already went to Though it will not be what I have seen at SSSF site.

Hi, jubei ...

we aussies have magical sexual powers
Awww ... You probably ripped it from the Abo's :D

Glad to see so many of you checking out Sciforums ... Thanks for the connect, J.D.

I knew youall had computers down thataway but didn't realize you had your own forums ;)

i think this forum is pretty cool. It's a lot slower than SSSF, but that's a good thing in a way. It does get a little crowded in there sometimes.
Well that's all i want to say.

:)
:p :) :D ;)
these things are cool, we should get them in SSSF.

Hey!

They are not so dumb, the australians, I have spoken to a couple of them and they seem pretty allright for being sporns from deported criminals. :D

Welcome! ;)

Be nice to our visitors, Bebelina. I find that they are very good group of folks.

*defensive mode on*

Actually, the spawn of deported criminals form a minority of the current population of Australia. Most of us are spawn of people who came here voluntarily.

You lot had your share of deported criminals too, didn't you?

James R ...

Ay, we did too.

Only we prefer to refer to them as 'indentured servants'.

More P.C. you know :D

PS Have to excuse Bb, she's Swedish. A yank would never be so uncouth. ;)

Thank you.

For correcting my miss-spelling. It should of course be spawn, and yes, it was a joke! :D
It was however a joke directed in all kindness to the australians I already know, that has joined us here, as Reign of Error for example.
Ohterwise, if you don´t know me, that statement can of course seem a bit blunt, but has nothing to do with my swedishness, just a manifestation of my clumsyness in humoristic conversation...:p

Most of us aussies can take a joke :)

Even if the stereotypical image of aussies being descendants of criminals isn't mostly true, its still a comical image :D

Doesn't offend me in the slightest

But you know it wouldn't hey Bebelina :D

I see you are no junior anymore JR;)

That 48 hour blackout ruined my evil plans:mad:

I'll get there soon though:cool:

G'day all, it's been a week or so so I thought I would bring this post to the top of the list in here and at the Aussie SSSF for those who may have missed it.

Ps. Oh JRrrrrrrrr, check my status now:cool:

Hey JD ...

Is an AVATAR something like the Australian equivalent to an armadillo? :D

Chargur, I'm not sure, are they considered a pest or protected as a rare species where you are?

There's numerious threads over here on the pesky little devils;)

John,

I can tell you here in Texas, the armadillo is considered a moving speed bump :D

Don't ask about weather in Australia....

Never bother to ask about the weather in Australia......

The answer is always the same, Beautiful yesterday, Perfect today.

Greetings from the Antipodes to all Canucks and Yanks, Swedes and others.

Why not join our Lively and Speedy forum? Especially our informative TT computer forum
(English is widely spoken in Australia.)

I thought I would add a thought to the Sciforums about our opposites in Australia. They are both friendly and informative. Well worth the visit.
