What do Americans, or, sciforumers in general, know about tunisia, just asking,, just,i want to know, what does sciforumers, or americans, know, about tunisia, and what do they think about it.
and is it true, americans hate arabs and muslims? and have tons of mythes about them? and cant say only bad things about them, or don't say anything?
anyway, and what about the maghreb?
<snip>
[ps: tunisia is an arab muslim country]
hmm, what kind of difference do you mean?
if you mean clothes? yes, some wear some beautifull tradional clothes, they have all what the city have, elecricity, water, schools, clinics, and since tunisia is so small, with 24 state, each state have a main cities, and some towns around, everything is close, nothing too far.
but, what's the difference you exactly mean? like maybe, can't read or write?
everyone can read and write, exept some old people, but there are some schools for old people, where old people who want to learn reading and writing and learn few things, can go their
still don't know what's the difference you mean.
I would love to spend some time here.

There is difference between the mentality and culture of the city and the countryside.....
Sexual freedom
And more.
Not just to you?
There is difference between the mentality and culture of the city and the countryside.
Countryside religion can matter more than the city.
Sexual freedom is also seen otherwise.
And more.
Not just to you?

Yes, the countryside is less "hurry hurry honk honk beep beep", you can see the stars at night along with the crickets chirping. A basic significant difference, over time, on the state of the mentality.
still define more, like, in what those difference you mean;, in what side of mentality?
country side relegion??
yes,
like?
what do you mean?
In the villages are more people faithful than in cities.
And religious stuff are most important to the country.
"Menage à trois" is accepted different in the city than in the country.
If these differences are not in Tunisia, it is difficult to explain.
I was in western Tunisia in 1987 as a part of a longer geology expedition across Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.
I most enjoyed the history...especially Roman and Carthage influence.
The Mediterranean part was ok (sort of a European/ North African mix) but the southwest where we were working was to say politely 'less than hygenic'. I couldn't bring myself to eat for a day or so until we found a hotel in Tozeur that served a meal that consisted of more food than flies.
i (maybe we) may hate america policies toward muslims, but, we don't hate americans.
