Trump's attacks, listed

Trump looks like he is in bad shape. Ever since Harris replaced Biden as his opponent, she is rising in the polls while he is dropping. From the looks of things he's getting desperate and starting to throw Harris attacks on the wall to see what sticks. I thought I would list them here because 1) they're often funny and 2) I have a feeling there will be a lot of them.

So to start the list:

1) She's not really black. "I didn't know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black, and now she wants to be known as Black. Is she Indian or is she Black? Because she was Indian all the way and then all of a sudden she made a turn and she went she became a Black person.” Given how many people in the US are biracial, this will likely backfire.

2) She's not really a citizen. "I just heard it today that she doesn't meet the requirements and by the way the lawyer that wrote that piece is a very highly qualified, very talented lawyer. . . .They're saying that she doesn't qualify because she wasn't born in this country." Well, it didn't work against Obama, but why not try it again?

3) She has the wrong sort of laugh. (It's hard to know what he means by that. He may not know what laughter is supposed to sound like. All he does is smirk, sneer and snigger. Laughing would require the apprehension of something funny.)

4) "She's the weird one!"
They have a hard time with that word. It's not exactly aggressive or serious and can't be nailed down for meaning, like calling someone the Antichrist.

Not sure how Trump can rekindle a birther theory, with Harris. She was born in Oakland, CA. The 14th amendment is pretty clear on the whole US soil thing. Federal courts have been affirming that standard ever since.

That Trump would try to revive a birther theory that had previously been so embarrassing for him does support the OP thesis that he is now desperately throwing stuff against the wall. And he can't seem to understand that "talented lawyer's" argument is not that Harris wasn't born in the US, but is rather a widely debunked theory that somehow her parents citizenship status was unclear and this would in some arcane manner override the 14th A.

I don’t think Trump necessarily believes any of this.

I remember when Putin poisoned the Skripals, the Kremlin put out more than half a dozen preposterous and mutually contradictory stories about what they claimed had “really” happened. They did not care, because the aim was to confuse: to gaslight the public so they didn’t know what to think.

Destroying people’s hold on reality is the aim. Then, he hopes, they will simply give up and trust The Leader. And the devout MAGA disciples will simply pick up and amplify on social media whatever story happens to appeal to them. It won’t matter if they contradict one another. He just has to give them a reason to believe that appeals to them. They can pick’n’mix. We saw this with QAnon: a cocktail of bonkers conspiracy theories from which people could choose, according to what turned them on.

But trying this on your swivel-eyed “base” is one thing. Trying to do it to over half the voting population? Hmm, I wonder.

5) She's not Sleepy Joe!

6) Changing candidates [before the convention where candidate is confirmed] is unconstitutional, undemocratic, illegal and just plain mean to me.

5) "Kamabla." This is presumably to remind everyone she is KamaBLACK and he's not. In a dog whistle fashion of course; if he's called on it he can say "I'm the least racist person EVER! What I meant of course was that she goes bla bla bla."

...he was White all the way, and then all of a sudden, he made a turn and … he became Orange. ... Somebody should look into that...”

Well, "I just heard it today" that Trump likes to eat kittens. Not gonna tell ya from who, just somethin' I heard today.
He's just done something recently, in his disaster of his Mar-a-Lago press conference... I don't have the exact quote but he was stating that there was a country, but not one he was willing to name, where they actively encouraged the population to buy guns... and crime reduced 25%. Basically just making shit up.

"a country, I won't say the name, I don't wanna get them in trouble," --- Like, in what trouble with whom?
The gun manufacturers and exporters are begging for that name.... or would be, if anyone except the brain-eaten MAGAites took him seriously.
Actually, it would have been fun to have an automatic fact-checker at that press conference. He may have surpassed his own record for lies per minute.

He attacks the size of her crowds - even though they are seemingly much bigger than his - before saying that "noone has spoken to bigger crowds than me. If you look at Martin Luther King, when he did his speech, his great speech, and you look at ours, same real estate, same everything, same number of people. If not, we had more." In fact MLK had about 5x as many!

He always rides a theme into the ground. Lately, he's been on about his crowd sizes; they keep getting bigger in his memory. After he compares favourably with the Sermon on the Mount, he'll move on to the horrible, horrible treatment of his hostages, those patriotic tourists who paid a friendly visit to the Capitol on Jan 6.

Another interesting one cropped up a couple of times recently: he has claimed he was in a near-fatal helicopter ride with Willie Brown, and during that ride Trump claims Brown trash-talked Harris. Unfortunately Brown said that it never happened, and that he's never done business with Trump. A NYT journalist also said that Trump brought up the story in a call, and Trump even threatened to sue the newspaper for their reporting that Brown denied it all, claiming he had records to prove the incident. When the journalist asked to see that evidence apparently Trump just made fun of her, and seemed more focused on claiming the incident was true rather than discuss his campaign.

Another black politician, Nate Holden, roughly the same age as Brown, claims that he was the one in the helicopter, and that the subject of Harris never came up.

Either way, Trump is just making shit up, attacking Harris with out and out lies.
Unfortunately mainstream media don't really seem to care.

The helicopter story is not altogether original. He added a Harris-associatied location and character on to an old lie. Apparently, back in 1989, there was a crash , ant it killed some of his people. At the time, instead of giving some kind of eulogy for them, he appropriated the incident to aggrandize himself, saying he was "almost" on that flight (no such plans having been made) and narrowly escaped. One of his little miracles, like not getting an STD while the Vietnam war was killing other people, and not getting a hole in his ear from a bullet that could have hit him, but hit somebody else.
