Yes. I see it often here. These "working scientists" claim all religious belief is fantasy, but you tell them Star Trek isn't real and they resort to name-calling and throw tantrums.
That's pretty much how it is. The Catholics sneer at the Heathens. The Protestants sneer at the Catholics. The Atheists sneer at the Protestants. Only some of the Atheists think the universe is made of mathematics. Or is a hologram. When you challenge conviction, people react with emotion. Even when they're scientists who think they're rational. Unless they've looked in the mirror. That's what Matt was on about with the conviction bias. And why I said shifting conviction is like shifting a tooth. You have to keep up the pressure. NB: please do not feed the troll.
