The Answer

It is not up to us to have an individual interpretation of God. The Bible gives us the answer.

Vanja,

Well?? Don't stop there - please enlighten us so we can all stop bickering about it! Be sure to quote chapter and verse, if you please.

Where would you like to start? I'm sorry if I came off as omniscient, even though I am...NOT!!!

Vanja,

You did imply that there was only one answer - so it shouldn't be too hard to provide chapter and verse.

Pardon. I attempted to not be wordy and instead I conveyed too general a meaning. I meant no individual interpretations, such as using Scripture out of context or partial, rather than wholehearted, belief in the Bible. As far as The Answer goes--I meant the individual answers to any individual questions asked.

I believe the answers 42

Hitch hikers guide to the universe, chapter 12, page 482, paragraph 3, second line in, thrid word.

but dont quote me on that

PercyPea,

You must be referring to the 42-letter name of God? Is it supposed to be written in that book you mentioned? Or are you just monkeeing around again?

U mean to say u never heard of hitch hikers guide to the Universe by Douglas Adams?

u a shambles :)

Im a shambles, but Im Gods shambles!!

Vanja,
The Bible is man written...not by God.
He didn't actually write it.. ok think
think really hard..you seem the type that
has been in a church or two.
How many times have you heard a preacher
say one thing..then come back and say oh no..
I was wrong...God has showed me different!
Well if that can happen now..it surely could
have happend then! The people back in
bibical times were not any more special than
today!

Flash: Remember those chapter's i sent you? I lost them, but that would PROVE that the Bible doesn't give us the answer.. Do you still have them?

Oh.. one more thing..Why aren't we allowed to read the WHOLE bible. Where is the rest of the books of Moses and all the other stuff that HAVE been in there, but have been removed by the Catholics.. ?

PercyPea,

I've heard of it of course - this does not equal having read it, though! However, your answer of "42" did provoke my interest a bit, and I have reasons for that interest. What did you mean by that (or are you gonna make me buy that danged book?)?

Dont worry monkee searcher, the book is not really meant to be taken seriously :)

Basically, some race of people asked a super powerful computer what the meaning of life, the universe and everything was.

After 9 million years or something, it came back with the answer of 42

42???? everyone exclaimed, and the computer went on to say that really the answer is nothing without the question, and when asked if he could work out the question, the computer said he couldnt but that he'd make a new better super computer that could, and that super computer was called 'The Earth'

It would take 65 million years for 'The Earth' to work out what the question is, unfortunatly, it was destroyed to make way for an interstella highway, 5 minutes before it had completed the calculation.

booooooooooooooooo :)

PercyPea,

That is very interesting, whether or not the author intended it to be taken seriously. I wonder if he knew about the kabbalist belief that the name of God contains 42 letters, and that this is the key to decoding the information encoded in Genesis regarding the age of the universe? Kabbalist Nechunya ben HaKanah calculated the age of the universe to be 15.3 billion years old, using the book of Genesis and this 42-letter key. It might also be interesting to note that Nechunya lived during the first century A.D.

Flash-I don't believe I've heard that type of contradiction. It's a shame that, apparently, you have. By the way, I no longer attend church. Talk to you tomorrow, y'all.

Vanja,
I want to apologize for all the posts that
I wrote to you in the manner I did.
You were a victim of a bad bad day... again,
I apologize.

H-Kon,
:( No, I am sorry. My account with
hotmail got to large and they deleted a lot
of shit I had saved.

Flash,

The Bible is the divine word of God. Written by the Holy Spirit....interpreted by men. It's important to read the Bible with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Notice that I didn't say the guidance of anything BUT the Holy Spirit. It's the truth. The only truth out there.

God loves you and so do I!
