Aparantly, according to imdb, there is a remake of The A-Team in the works.
No cast list has been announced yet but it will nio doubt be balls.

Anyway, this got myself and a few drunken friends arguing in the pub last week and I would like to invite you all to join in. (Feel free to really play into it by occasionally slipping off your barstool, shouting alot, going to the toilet every 45 seconds and buying utterly uneccesary shots of, what appeared to be, bleach and kerosene).

I asked who would be your ULTIMATE DREAM CAST LIST for the A-Team remake. Assume every star asked would say yes and you had an unlimited budget.
The only stipulations were that they have to be alive and they have to have a passing resemblence/ability to remind you of the original stars.

(And feel free to discuss/argue/vomit the choices. We did.)

I'll start:

John 'Hannibal' Smith: George Clooney.
B.A. Barracas: (still undecided between) The Rock or Ving Rhames.
Templeton 'Faceman' Peck: Brad Pitt? Jonny Depp? (Really struggled on this).
'Howlin' Mad' Murdoch: Jim Carrey.

Any betters...?

B.A.: Michael Clarke Duncan
Faceman: Bill Pullman
Murdoch: Leonardo DiCaprio (Yeah, I said it. Think Gilbert Grape grown up)

Face: Dirk Benedict
Murdock: Dwight Schultz

For fuksake hollywood, buy scripts from original, creative writers and take a fuking chance.
 
That does it. I'm digging an armageddon shelter and converting to christianity. This has got to be a sign of the apocalypse.

Good job.

Ving Rhames should be the first called as far as 'faceman' see if you can get an unknown, BP would be nice but at this point the cast will be super expensive. I dont know if the studio will go for that kind of cash.

That's a great list genius, but considering George Peppard died 13 years ago, it might be tough to get him to learn his lines.:confused:

Hannibal: Bruce Willis
B.A. Stone Cold Steve Austin
Face: Eric Bana
Murdock: Diedrick Bader
 
If it was up to me, of course the movie would be starring the original cast members. But since not only has the cast members aged out of the characters (Schults will turn 60 in November), but George Peppard passed away several years ago. But, here is my list:

John "Hannibal" Smith: Tommy Lee Jones (good for the role)
Bosco "B.A" Baracus: Mr. T (perfect)
H.M "Howling Mad" Murdock: Jim Carrey ("too funny", but he would have to do)
Templeton "Face" Peck: Brad Pitt (bad choice, but could not think of anyone else)
 
So we're going to have two and a half hours of car chases/ crashes and firing guns on full auto without actually hurting anyone?

johnny depp MY GOD NOOOOOO!!!!!!
 
Depp is too weird to play Faceman. He seems to play parts that involve a touch of eccentricity lately, and I must say it fits him wonderfully. I don't know about Pitt. You'd need someone with more the look of a metrosexual-type without appearing effeminate, but he can't be overly suave. I think this will be the hardest role to fill.

B. A.: Wanda Sykes
Face: William Zabka
Murdoch: Drake Hogestyn

I like your calls, Flemster, but they're too obvious, so to speak.

Meantime, I'm not sure which picture of Dirk Benedict scares me more, the Vette or the mustache.
 
A-team cast

Borrowing from what "The Devil Inside" said no one should be BA but T. If he's willing to bulk up and accept the role. BUT 15ofthe19 choice of Stone Cold Steve Austin is far better than Ving Rhames, the Rock or anyone else. ( BA doesnt have to be a black guy). And both of them are horrible for that role. Stone Cold has the attitude and the presence. On a similar note Face does not have to be a guy. Matt Damon would be a good choice but in a different direction so would Jessica -drooool- Biel. Murdoch: now invisible comedian Brain Haley. He was also on Wings. If you have a chance check out his routines. Dane Cook might also be good. For Hannibal, Bruce Willis, Tommy Lee Jones and Mel Gibson are good however John Travolta has the understated brash George Peppard had. Plus the cigars. :D (Watch Broken Arrow, the newer one of course).

Hannibal: John Travolta
Face: Matt Damon or Jessica Biel
Murdoch: (money-saver) Brian Haley
BA Barracus: Stone Cold Steve Austin
 
I can't think of the best Hannibal, or Face but I think L.L. would make a good BA, and by far the best Murdoch would be Johnny Knoxville.

Okay, just checked out imdb and the only 2 cast members they have listed so far are Woody Harelson for Murdoch and Ice Cube for BA. Both are rumored and I for one hope they don't go in that direction.
