May i take this chance to send my sympathy to all in the united states of america, i am sure that what needs to be done to catch these cowards will be done, any justice will by swift and final, even if it has to be the whole country, and any other country who harbours terrorists, trash like these do not belong in this free world, i have relatives in the usa and pray that they are ok, we saw pictures of children partying in the streets they to should be taught right from wrong, by any means. as they will grow up to be are childrens or grand childrens killers,action must be taken and now.

I agree with you to a point, blastoff. I do think we need take no-nonsense action, but I think we need to show respect for other countries' innocents, otherwise how are we different from those who attacked us? Even children dancing in the streets are probably innocents who merely believe what their adult role models tell them. I say "probably", because I know that children have been known to be used as weapons before, and once that happens all bets are off as far I'm concerned, but the vast majority of the time I see them as innocents. Even adults who merely applaud the action, I don't think should be targeted by our vengance. Being an asshole doesn't necessarily warrant deadly force.
I really think that we REALLY need to take it out those who are responsible. Positively identifying those who are directly responsible MAY not happen. If we decided to go after all known terrorists in the case that we can't positively identify those responsible, I don't think that it would break my heart. In fact, even if we CAN positively identify the perpetrators of this, I wouldn't have a problem with going after all known terrorists. And It wouldn't break my heart if we hurt a GOVERNMENT that tried to hinder our efforts to get those known terrorists. But if we approach ANY country with total disreguard for the lives of it's innocent citizens just to make a point, then WE become the terrorists.
And I think the thing that bothers me most about this incident is the possibility of finding out that it was americans who pulled this off. I can't seem to convince myself that americans would have done this, but I also have trouble with simply dismissing the idea. I know the evidence that's surfacing doesn't seem to point to americans, but the incredible speed and abundance of the evidence that is surfacing bothers me too. It all just seems so neat and tidy. I hope it's the result of a high level of dedication to the investigation, but I still have that nagging itch that says not to accept things blindly.

We beat Sadam. We won WW II. We are rich and powerful. We have the big bombs. So we think, we can wipe out terrorism. But these people use our own laws against us. So new terrorism will sprout after a rainy night.

I think this really is one thing that bothers me the most about this whole attack. Some of the terrorist boarding the plane were on terrorist watch lists, but the laws of this land say we can do nothing to stop them because they are only under suspicion of crimes. Due process states we can't do anything to stop them. Due process is something I am not willing too give up, and no should be willing to give up. These terrorists know this so they take advantage, because we cannot deny freedoms. ]
It makes me sick that we had too pay this high of a price for freedom, and we will continue to pay even more as action is taken. Human life will be lost in the pursuit of justice and it is a shame. American soldiers will die, innocents in other countries will die. This is all for our freedom and the cost is worth it, but it feels me with complete rage that some sick fuck forced us too indure this cost. It is important that terrorists are shown that we as American people will not tolerate this action against us and this requires violent action.

The statement that we need to show that these actions against us will not be tolerated and that violent action is required is EXACTLY how the people that did this were thinking.

Maybe we need to become our own form of natural selection. Maybe we need to see the ruins of the world to figure out how to build a healthier society.
