Next to archaeology, I enjoy following architecture ‘news,’ especially relating to bridges. The bridge design math work involved is beyond remarkable! Please take a moment to check out this link, for what is considered to be ‘’ten remarkable bridges in the U.S.’’ Feel free to post any and all bridges that dazzle you, too!
:D

Do we have any bridge architects/engineers here?

This bridge is in my own area. A misty experience to say the least!

A cool bridge is the Dame's Point bridge in northern Florida. It was designed to be tall enough to sail cruise ships under it. So there is a good climb to the top doing 70 mph.

Hiya wegs...
Ahh, a nice break!! :)

Anyway onto bridges.....not in the US, but have you seen the millau viaduct in France?

Just breathtaking! A waterfall is so magnificent and magical to me.

If that's the case then you'd love it here. Multnomah falls is just the highest of a hand-full in the same area.

For instance, this is a shot of Upper Horsetail falls, taken from the path that passes behind it.

Then if you drive about 53 mi South you could visit Silver Creek falls state park and walk a 5 mile loop where you'll see 8 waterfalls.

Is that the post showing the oldest suspension bridge in Australia? That's just ugh...too cool for words. These bridges have so much history.
