yes .... trust is the key aspect for telepathy to have any useability at all.A 10 digit number? That is pretty extreme.I would have guessed number 7, at first glance I saw a number from 1-10.
From my experiences with experimenting with telepathy, reading about it and discussing these ideas with other people is that the people who are most reluctant to consider the idea of telepathy as real are the ones that are most afraid to have their own thoughts revealed. People with nothing to hide are more open minded, needless to say.
Telepathy has been studied and the more two people know each other the better it works.
It's also easier to draw a picture that the other person is watching than guess a ten digit number for example.
To let someone, a relative stranger, or even a long term lover, to have access to your most intimate and secret domain is tantamount to "standing naked" before God. Most persons have innate fears that prevent any accessibility that is not loaded with deception or fraud. Deception and fraud being the the best way to prevent the revelation of secrets.
I had a situation years ago where by a young and troubled person was wandering around trying to read every one thoughts. What she didn't realize is that every time she entered someones sanctuary uninvited or even invited she would leave a footprint, a signature and create an instinctive need to deceive her with misinformation and threat of counter intrusion. Her life at the time was a misery due to the way others treated her due to her ignorant misuse of her ability to read.
With out significant and I mean "really significant" trust by all concerned including witnesses, telepathy will always be loaded with deceptions.
It is hard enough to track your own thoughts let alone 8 billion other humans (and shall we include telepathic animals as well). How would I isolate your thoughts from my thoughts? I have experienced something like telepathy where I had a dream where I was told what another person was dreaming about. Later that week he went to confess and I said "I already know what you dreamed about" and it was correct (I just knew it as a broad category - He dreamed of marrying my daughter. But in his dream it was a whole lot more personal and that was what was causing the embarrassment for him.
This has never happened again. But for those that can stand it, I have written a whole thread where dream sequences helped me "solve" 2 murders. I'd have to check if they are still on the internet. Still the evidence has not been enough to overturn the conviction of the person whom I think is innocent.

Possibly you are wise enough to realize that "privacy and secret keeping" issues are extremely important to the ability of a unique perspective to function as unique. A loss of privacy and the threat of knowledge abuse is enough to cripple any one into a state of extreme trauma. [ the fear of broadcasting is not to be underestimated.]
Very few humans have been or are able to "stand it" in a way that is any where close to comfortable and useable. Normally due to the psychic and physical attacks on credibility the persons mental tapestry collapses and they end up on Meds with a NPD tag attached.

Scott is just a simple scoundrel that takes perks wherever he could. He was not psychic as far as I know, I'm the psychic (in my way of doing it).
I think there were other people on the ketch who told the police the facts that they knew, and they pointed the finger at Scott. I had covered it on another thread on TradeMe (in NZ) but they closed it all down for it was too controversial.
I still want to go to where I feel Ben is buried and do a grid search. If I could find some bones only then might I get some credibility.

But to answer your questions. The whole country took an interest in the case from the moment these two young adults went missing. But my first dream on the case started on the 5th Jan 1998, just 5 days after the events, before any real evidence appeared in the papers or on TV. But what I was "told" was different from what the case was against Scott. Years later I was prompted to help Scott, but so far it hasn't helped him.
I'm not related, nor a friend, I'm just a person who is concerned for justice. Read the thread and see if you can get the jist of what I'm saying. The story bits are cut and pastes from the TradeMe thread but at the time I was getting so many hate posts it was difficult to keep my emotions under control. My knowledge of how to work the forums is much better now. This was way back when I had just entered the world of internet forums, when every critical post felt like a kick in the guts. Now nothing worries me.

You have pointed out two possibly three critical pieces of information in the above.
1] any mention of this case created massive amounts of angst, vilification, and possibly direct threats. [ a loss of normal due process generally ]
2] That you were "informed" in a dream "possibly by a spirit guide" of information that was contrary to popular belief.
This indicates to me that the person actually responsible for the killings was and probably still is a rather powerful influence psychically. The whole reason for the way this case has been managed and in the fashion it has been managed is probably because this influencer is seeking to maintain it's cover, leading to aberrations of process that are strikingly ignored.

There was a case recently exposed in England [ in mainstream media] where by a number of males had been held in a state of servitude for a number of years by two males and a female accomplice. These slaves where held in appalling conditions, covered in their own shi*t and mud etc, barely clothed and emaciated. Yet there was no actual restraints upon them. They were actively recruited with the promise of earning money on a farm. There appeared to the police that no actual work was being undertaken.
The local police had been notified a number of times but for some reasons never "got round to investigating"
They did eventually have to get involved and yet not one of the slaves would testify against the accused.
I'll see if I can did up the news articles... a rather sad testimony to mind control "training" that seems to have been going on. IMO
I don't have image files of anyone in particular, but i do have some odd photos that may or may not be related. All my evidence came from actual physical searches and from the police files (statements from the thousands of people who were interviewed.

Young people who are developing telepathy often go a little "insane", as goes for older people who are struck by it suddenly. Psychology defines the belief to have telepathic abilities as a clear sign of mental illness, schizophrenia, psychosis and such, and it could be too in many cases. I have read a lot about the coworkings of schizophrenia and telepathy, that the two are often confused with eachother and/or in some cases are the same. The "illness" is when a person can't control the ability and feels bad about having it.
Trust and personal development go hand in hand. The more you are at one with the universe and have opened up yourself and accepted your human nature and are not ashamed of any thought, bodily function, reaction, feeling etc, then trust comes more easily.
