hey! i just saw the trailer for Nemesis and i would like to know what everyone else out there in the scifi world thinks of what they saw...

so what you think?

Looks ok, whats with the cars, whats with the matrix stylee. Whats with Picard pulling jokes

WHATS GOING ON

It looks alright, but I'm not to enthralled about the idea of appealing to a wider audience, and that's what it look's like its doing. We'll just have to wait and see, though, won't we?

We can both agree that Journey Home and Generations were really frickin awesome.

edit: one too many though's.

I really liked that whole "death and life of Spock" trilogy thing, and Undiscovered Country was awesome. I haven't been a big fan of any of the Next Generation movies so far, but I think this one will be better.

I'm sorry walker, but I gotta say this. I hated Undiscovered Country. I thought it was the worst one they made. A difference of opinion here, I guess.

I haven't seen the trailer, and the movie will most likely not even come to the harlem theater,so I most likely will not see it, unless it comes out this winter, in which I will see that, Lord of the Rings : the two towers, and harry potter. and Pollux, why did you log off msn, but are still on sciforums?

fisrt cause pollux is a shrive, and second, of course Nemesis will come a la cine en el nuestros ciudad.

and it should be good, at least i hope i hope i hope

Dewd, you didn't like Six? Ah, well. Anyway, they're all better than that first one.

oooooooh, wait, that's six??? The last one, officially, with the original series crew? I thought you meant five......ohhhhhhh....okay. Sorry then. Well, I hated five, and I forget what it was called.

Oh, yeah! Five was horrible. Six is the one where the crew is framed for the assassination of the Klingon High Chancellor, and Iman Bowie plays a shapeshifting alien.

My Star Trek Films, from best to worst.

1. Star Trek VI, The Undiscovered Country
2. Star Trek II, The Wrath of Khan
3. Star Trek III, The Search for Spock
4. Star Trek IV, The Voyage Home (with whales in tow)
5. Star Trek: First Contact
6. Star Trek: Insurrection
7. Star Trek: Generations
8. Star Trek V, The Final Frontier
9. Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

After Nemesis, what do you think a good followup would be? I really want a DS9 movie, personally.

I had a thread on this very subject once...

For me:

Star Trek: Generations
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
Star Trek: Insurrection
Star Trek: First Contact
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country
Star Trek III: The Search for Spock
Star Trek: The Motion Picture
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier

I don't know what they're going to do afterwards, I wonder if anyone really does, but I'm all for continuing with the adventures of the next generation crew, if they can. I know, I know they want to bring closure to the whole thing but all of the castmembers keep saying that they left open plenty of oppurtunities for sequels, Paramount just wants to see how much money the film will make, and if it's worth continuing.

The Excellent Trek Movies:
Voyage Home
Undiscovered Contry

The Good Ones:
Wrath Of Kahn
In Search Of Spock
First Contact

The Useless:
Star Trek: The Motion Picture

The God Awful, Horrfiylingly Bad, Why Did I Even Sit Through This:
Final Frontier
Generations

Never seen insurection, or the nemiss trailer and i doubt ill go see the movie when it comes out.

I would love to see a DS9 movie. But please, oh please don't let it be a romantic drama between Odo and Kira. THE TORTURE :bugeye:

Generations was pretty bad. Not one I'd see in a hurry. First Contact's gotta be my fav, purely for Data's comical scenes

*Women shoots Data in the back 15 times. Data turns around*

Greetings

Or something like that. Its been a while and I'm tired.

LEAVE ME ALONE. QUIT BUGGING ME ALRIGHT

Yeah, I like all the TNG movies. They all have a lot of personality, too, in terms of the characters and situations...but I maintain that the TOS movies are better "films". For whatever that's worth.

Sorry guys. I loved Generations. Generations was fucking awesome. It's the best and most original plot of a star trek film ever.

To be honest, I don't like TOS. I like Undiscovered Country just because of the Zero-G murders, that looked cool.

To be blunt, where do you live, if not in the US?

If in the US, then in november or december..

I found it interesting that Data's "prototypic twin" is getting just as wrinkly and bloated as the real Data. Now we know it's in his programming... not just hard livin'. :D

Peace.
