Skinwalker banning Scifes unacceptable

I am writing this post and opening this thread to bring to attention to the injustices of this moderator Skinwalker who is nothing more than an Atheist troll. His whole purpose for giving warnings and banning individuals is to cripple debate which is critical of Atheism. Furthermore, when the members try to debate this moderator for his views, they are given warnings and may be banned. Kadark was banned permanently while debating with Skinwalker.

Skinwalker should be removed as moderator. I have never had any problems in this thread with any other moderators, but I have been given 5 warnings by Skinwalker, one of which I forced him to reverse. My posts have constantly been deleted, and when this moderator sends me PMs, it is always insulting against my religion, i.e. in a PM to my 'Assalam Alaikum, here is a warning.'

Debate between Atheists and Religious people should be even and fair, and I believe by allowing Skinwalker jurisdiction in this forum, it severely curtails debate on the subject. I believe completely in freedom of speech, especially in regards to intellectually beneficial debates held on this forum as regards tot he nature of religion and atheism.

I don't believe any posters have problems with Scifes, as this person has always been polite and engaging in any debate on this forum.

This moderator needs to be removed. If any of the readers agree with my point, please add to this discussion so that the moderators can see that we want this moderator removed.

Thanks for your time.

Skinwalker's had his share of opponents for some time now (I'm one of them). I solve the problem by not posting in forums he moderates. I suggest that if you find someone saying something interesting in one of the forums he moderates, just PM them.

Thanks for your advice brother. However banning of Scifes was unacceptable. I have my fair share of problems with this moderator, hence why I created this thread. We should bring this into the open.

Crippling intellectual debate by banning, warning, or deleting the posts of someone who says something which you disagree with is unacceptable. It should not be tolerated here.

Preaching? Sounds dubious. I now he gets excited about religious themes but so what. Do you know what thread he is supposed to have preached in? Maybe it was misconstrued.

Ask him not to send you PM's with this 'to my 'Assalam Alaikum...' as that is being condescending.

It says 'preaching.' You can look at his old posts to ascertain this yourself.

Ok. Was he warned ?

I think Scifes was pretty darn sure of what he believed to be real but clearly hadn't asked himself the tough questions. IMO

I just ignore the preaching so it doesn't bother me. But if it's against the rules then he should have been warned and then he has a chance to stop.

Preaching how? I won't pretend to have read all of his threads but was he really giving sermons or trying to convert? I don't think members should be able to preach, I think if another member wants to learn more about a religion from a member they should take it up privately where its more appropriate.

He was preaching. But I didn't have a problem with him.

Skinwalker's deleted a post of mine for simply saying that some moderators don't truly understand the scientific method. And yes, I definitely had him in mind as a prime candidate but I didn't say it at the time. So he deletes it and gives me a warning, saying that I'm "clearly trolling". Apparently, thinking that moderators could possibly err is a deletable offense for him.

Then he goes and deletes another post, allegedly because it was off topic. I felt it wasn't so off topic; but what really gets me is that he then goes in the same "off topic" vein but hey, he's a moderator, so I guess it's ok. I even quoted the allegedly "off topic" post; but not in the forum where it was deleted but here in SF Open Government; apparently it almost got me banned. For a more in depth look at the story, you can take a look at this thread I started here in SF Open Government:
Clarifying when mods are entitled to delete posts

saying it and proving it are two different things scott.
here on this board?
who are they scott?

If he got a warning from Skinwalker, and then afterwards his posts started getting deleted, this proves it.

I have had EXACTLY the same experience. I was engaged in a debate with several members concerning the Muslim view on a particular topic when someone personally attacked me, I responded by implying those who issue personal attacks do so out of desperation and because they are losing an argument. My post was deleted as 'trolling' and henceforth Skinwalker kept warning me on my posts and deleting several of them. My posts began to mysteriously disappear, especially in my debate with several atheists.

Skinwalker's moderation has always been one-sided, against people whom he disagrees with. In my case, it was because I was presenting the Islamic view on topics which members asked me to clarify or which I felt were deceptively portrayed. In responding to false rhetoric, as I saw it, from some segments of this forum, my arguments were censored, I was given warnings, and I was mocked by this moderator. Somehow, those people with whom I was debating remained untouched, whereas they constantly engaged in personal attacks against me, my religion, and race. Many even openly supporting violence against my people. This was seen as acceptable, and when I commented that these personal attacks convey an ignorance and biased view of the world, I began to receive warnings. This is the crux of the problem. This moderation is completely biased.

Scott, I am not familiar with which topic you received a warning, but my guess is that Skinwalker did not agree with your opinion, hence in his eyes, this justified a warning. This was definitely the case as regards to my posts.

Skinwalker's moderation is heavily biased against those whom he disagrees with. We can never have proper debate while he is a moderator.

It was a single-day ban. I'm sure he'll get over it, and it hardly warrants this ridiculous crusade.

To be sure. In this particular case, however, no one has ever denied the accusation. As a matter of fact, Skinwalker sent me the original of both deleted messages (along with warnings for both); they're still in my mailbox for any admin to doublecheck. Furthermore, I sent a copy of both to James R.

The second post is actually posted verbatim in the linked thread (it's the second post). As to the first, I knew I sent the original message to James; I hear that the admins always get the messages that are deleted anyway, but I didn't know that at the time; also, if the message is modified and then deleted, they would only see the modified message; I'd saved the original and sent it to him.

The very same.

Skinwalker wins the Palme D'or, but Stryder's past decision to autolock the 9/11 threads from Stryder simply because he disagreed with them is in the same vein. There's also the issue of certain threads containing views (or perceived views) concerning sexuality being locked up as well.

moderation here isn't what you might think or wish.
okay, you say skinwalker is trolling your threads because you are "religious"?
what exactly are you saying here diamondhearts?

you know for a fact we've been virtually mopping the floor with atheists in the following thread, i haven't seen hide nor hair of skinwalker nor have i noticed any posts being deleted.

what's the difference here diamondhearts?
could reason have anything to do with this subject?

edit:
saying "god did it" or "god said it" just isn't going to get it on a science board.
