Those other folks aren't making asses of themselves trying to fool anyone into thinking they understand advanced concepts when in reality they don't even understand the basic prerequisites. You can't skip a whole decade of education and go from grade school math straight into quantum field theory, and if you don't like it you should mail your complaint to Mother Nature and wait patiently for a reply.
Be honest and ask questions that are appropriate to your true knowledge level, and you won't be treated as a pretentious idiot. Maybe you just don't get this because you haven't bothered to learn it in all the years you've been lurking around this place, but the symbols in math equations actually have significant meaning to them, and often the objects and operations they represent don't have the mathematical properties you'd ascribe to the numbers a student typically learns about prior to the age of 10.

My thread was revived from the cesspool and put into the Science and Technology. The alternative place where other cliques could not really argue with, or wet their pants over. I think in a way, James did this to appease them at best, but equally realized my thread was not worthy of cesspool, in contradiction to Prom's idea. So who is the ass?

Ironically, I started doing the same thing four days back because of the same thing. never used to, do now.
I explained in the other thread that the post deleted was a statement of mathematical fact that was wrong. It's not because I disagreed with it (although I clearly did) but it's because that kind of post is dangerous for someone that doesn't have enough knowledge to discern that mister is an idiot. Believe it or not I am intelligent enough to be able to tell the difference between facts and opinions and moderate accordingly.
