I would have thought that a reasonable physicist or physics hobbyist would listen to stories about UFO's and wonder about how they might do it.
I would have thought that any rational person would first ask "What is this phenomenon?" before speculating wildly that it's some sort of craft and wondering "how they do it".
Then again, a rational person wouldn't make, or promulgate, false claims...

If you research the relevant section, you will find it has been debated many many times, and debunked with reasonable arguments and assessments many many times.
The closest we get, and the closest most reputable scientists conclude, is that a small number remain as unexplained.
Again unexplained/unidentified does not equate to Aliens.
