I noticed people have mentioned ideas of including Scientists, well how about the logo contains 1 scientist per week or month, with a particular Biography written on the scientist to accompany with it.

It could be timed with what ever discovery it was they initially made or less scientifically their birth or death.

This way the logo's "Face" will forever be changing while also spreading general knowledge and wisdom to those that wouldn't have necessarily known anything about that particular scientist or their field in science.

(New and Old Scientists shoudl be applied equally and the various fields picked from all the subforum fields of sciforums.)

Don't say you want a fee?

Of course not. Quite simply: sub-header text under the grafix: fixed point size (10 or 11; 9?), no underlined links, sans serif, white, 5 pixel indent left and right. The user menu under the banner would have to go. Buttons would have to be redesigned to compliment the banner (none of that horrible emboss). Any modifications to the design itself done by moi.

These are 3 of my favourites

tablariddim: These are 3 of my favourites

I'm replying to your post, Tablariddim, but I'm also addressing those others who have supported my design. Thanks. But in all honesty, I started posting these as a lark. I had already commented last week I think it was about the problem with the fonts being used in the submitted banners, and earlier yesterday I had time to kill so I thought I'd try tackling the issue -- I was being serious at my end. Anyway, to cut a long story short, my stuff doesn't fit with the general look and feel of the place: I'm a tiny bit too euro-corporate-metropolitan as far as style is concerned. But thanks anyway.

PseudO: remove number seven from your list (thereby simplifying the choice).

Thanx. It's been fun. ish.

I hate your contribution as a banner for Sciforums. But, that's not to say that it's vile or anything.
Just not right for here...

Maybe a choice of skins should be offered. I don't think that offering a selection of themes is taxing to the server or the database.

You hate my contribution? Invert, for all your talent at writing (and writing long winded posts at times) I find it incredible that you. can. not. read. I said, from the start, that I was having a bit of fun. I n-e-v-e-r intended to "contribute". Quite frankly, I'd hate having to see my own stuff hanging at the top of this place every time I visit—rarely. You should know how I feel about the place. Why else do you think I slapped a barcode and scribbled Xev's name?

No. I read that you weren't being serious. I was just saying.
It would actually look kinda cool in some forum or maybe a web site. (Well. Not the colored font...)
Just not here.
I like that photo for some reason... don't know why. And I think that it could actually be developed into a theme.
But only an optional one.

I'm a minimalist and the photo is just too much for my 'vision'.

...
Anyway.
Yeah. I should have 'quoted' 'contribution'. Sorry.
Forgive?

(I was surprised as hell to find it as one of the options... I wonder if they envision slapping all the people with santa claus hats at christmas time?)

Edit: And the one with all the people standing in line? That actually sorta fits.... but... not minimalistic enough for my liking.

And how about these?

And don't forget this one :)

(Just joking about that one. But not about the others.)
