Lol. Actually, spur, I've been pessimistic about religion before I converted, but I am not a pessimist about Christianity anymore. But I still am a pessimist in that I always think of the worst and all that bad junk in other areas.

Lol, I guess I am a deviant, then. :p ACtually, "reformed" Christian would be a better term for me rather than protestant.

What are the personalities of sciforumers?

1) Describe your personality.
I am relatively outgoing, and if you were to ask my friends about me, they would probably say I was a lot of fun, a little crazy, and that I stick to my principles. I read a lot, so I’m relatively intelligent and open-minded, although admit to being a little sexist. I’m female, but I’m sexist against girls because I think that they are frequently ridiculous. They count calories and spend all their time at the mall or reapplying makeup. I’m an athlete and I love the intensity of sports, particularly basketball.
2) What do you stand for?
I stand for that which I believe to be right. I’m a moderate conservative. I strongly oppose both abortion and the death penalty. I’m against affirmative action, and I’m on the fence over gun control. I believe that we have the right to bear arms, and that people kill people, but people do use guns to kill people. Therefore, I think I’m against gun elimination, but for things like safety locks and stronger regulations on guns. I think that war with Iraq is necessary, but I believe we should have fought it right after 9/11, because we would have had the support of the world. I do not think America should attack without UN backing, because the UN regulations have been violated, not American regulation. I think taxes should be lower, except, of course in times of war, so that people can spend their money as they please, and make their own decisions. I believe in women’s rights, but also that women should not have more rights than men. I think that we should be equal. Finally, I hope to God that Hillary Clinton does not run for president.
3) Drives?
I am driven by the Bible in part, and in part a desire for others to be happy.
4) Goals/Ambitions?
I would like to be a physicist, and be remembered when I die for having made a difference in the world.

I’m good at Math, Science and English, particularly Physics and the Calculus. I read constantly whatever looks good, and I play basketball.

I’m here at this website to learn as much as I can about the world, people, and physics. I’m here on earth because I have the opportunity to change things, because there is a lot wrong with this world. Also, if we are the only intelligent life in the universe, then we have the responsibility of being that through which the universe perceives itself.
9) Admirations?
I admire intellgence, open-mindedness, an ability to teach, and an ability to learn. I also admire respect and kindness.
10) Interests/Fascinations?
I am interested in physics, great literature, religions of the world, sports, philosophy, and the inner workings of the human mind.
11) What repels you?
General stupidity, ditziness, cheerleaders, and attacks on the helpless or innocent.
12) What do you enjoy doing?
Physics, reading, playing basketball, learning, meeting people, partying, listening to good music, eating and other things that I’m too bored with this survey to list.
13) What do you dislike doing?
Listening to people whine.
14) What are you proud of?
Being on the basketball team of the best public school in the state.
15) What do you regret?
I can’t think of anything I regret, because when I make a decision, I refuse to regret it, because even bad decisions help to make us who we are, and I’m happy with who I am.

I like the way my mind works, my sense of humor, my ability to connect with people, and the way I look. I dislike my ability to unintentionally hurt those I love.
17) What is special about you?
I’m crazy, fun, and intelligent at the same time. It’s a weird mix.

My built in personality is chaotic and extreme. My self-imposed daily personality is methodical and boring. Thank God.

Ignorance of yourself is foolish and easy.

3) Drives?

nothing. If something will benefit from me doing work on it, I'll do the work. Otherwise, I will sit. "don't just do something, sit there!"

4) Goals/Ambitions?

to reduce the suffering of the world, and die sooner rather than later (though I made a pact w/ myself when I was young that suicide would not be an option-it causes too much suffering in others)

Nothing is bad or good by itself. The scope and goal of the use of an item defines its effect on the world.

6) Philosophies?

see above. In addition: accept everything as possible, then disprove everything any time something changes. Once the 'truth' is know, you will be right, what ever that may be.

7) Beliefs?

my belief is that what I believe doesn't matter. Only when I refuse to change my beliefs when new information is presented to me that problems occur.

8) Talents/Abilities/Professions?

Everything, Nothing. I am a computer Programmer now, because I need to pay off college debt.
I cannot spell. At all.

I am at sciforums to discuss stuff w/ other inquisitive people.

voluntary ignorance. Refusal to admit to yourself what you already know, for whatever reason.

That I have many people who can depend on me, but are not dependant upon me.

I can sum myself up in a ( long )prargraph, the questions are a little weird for a person like me;) . I have a few friends, but not popular, I think that because I am oftem misunderstood, and ppl dont really get my jokes (I joke a lot, but often about complicated subjects (like politicians and stuff)) wich sounds stupid, but I am only 16, and most of my friends are 16-17, I am known to be insane, and make jokes. Maybe if I was pretty, I would have more friends, seeing as I am overweight, and not the best looking. In life, I wish to accomplis this: go to post-secondary, get an average job, live in a city, live in a 1-bedroom apartment, have a computer with high speed and a cheap car with a cool sterio system, go to the night clubs on the weekend. Obviously I am not super-social. As for values, I am often undecided, I just try to be a good person, and not harm, but with all the shit that goes on, it is hard, but I make the effort. One word to sum me up would be... odd.

Oh yeah, and did I mention that I can't stand POSERS, Gahhhhhh, THEY MAKE ME ANGRY........ words of advice: act like you want ot and you will have real friends as for me, not a lot of them, but the ones I do have bring joy, More words of advice: Don't complain, there is this girl that all she does is complain, and she brings the misery into me, you can complain about certain things, but not the little things over and over and over and over (you get the Idea) if over 60% of the things you say are posotive, not complaints, gj, try to up your average :)
