I was forced to adjust the realistic drawing in light of the new information.

Maybe adding a green butterfly dress wouldn't be a bad idea at this point.

The only hair I have is on my head ;)

(Note: the absence of denial re testicles)

Hey guys, seeing as no music has been posted i figured i would throw in a few songs if anyone is interested. So far the artwork is super!
Ok now i admit that the sound quality is definately lacking because we didn't have a mixer. But it is just me (guitar) and my drummer so it's not that messy.

There are alot of changes and improvisations in these songs, so if you are going to listen to them, please don't just put it as background music. It's the sort of music that you need to pay a bit of attention to if you want to appreciate it. Sorry ;P

Keep up the good artwork guys!

Interesting discussion on drawing talent and ability.
I seem to have a bit of talent, but I think it's more a talent for seeing rather than a talent for drawing... or perhaps they're the same thing. I find that practice is all important. There may be individuals out there who can produce realistic drawings the first time they try, but not me!

Here's an example. This is our budgerigar Joey. I've included my practice sketches of Joey's head, which is what I found hardest to "see", and hence draw. I think that the bad practice sketches show what my brain sees, and it's by seeing what is wrong with those that I discover what my eye sees.

nice parrot drawings. Umm...i think you made the lobe of the parrot to big...

You could be right. I need more practice!
Here are some partly drawn faces, done candidly during a staff meeting:

The first one is best for capturing a likeness, but the others aren't too shabby either.

you know I tried to do that once...draw face pictures of students in my class...it looked very nice...but they became so tense about it...so I stopped the practice.

These aren't great likenesses. The last is perhaps best - it's my son watching TV.
That's about my whole portfolio!
