I checked in on the thread every now and then, and I was stunned over a couple of things:
One, some people here obviously have incredible amounts of time, energy, creativity and skills to spend on MS Paint.
Two, some people here obviously take the social sphere of Sciforums rather personally, given how intensely and attentively they engaged in that thread.

I think neither is a wise course of action.
 
Too bad it got shut down. I had another one to post when I saw the thread was locked.

For the record, I got PM 's from almost everybody I drew in my pictures. They were pretty much LOL and weren't offended.

It would be arrogant to pressume you are talking about me, but since mine were obviously the best I suppose you probably are. So I would like to point out that none of them took longer than about 10-15 minutes to do. No where near as long as some of the posts I used to make. I think back to those days and I'm suprised by the time and energy expended to create those, I don't think I'll ever be able to do that again. That's what was so great about the "pitcher" thread, a "pitcher" says a thousand words. Personally I believe it can be more than that, I think my lucifer's angel picture said about 4 and a half thousand words. Each one more insulting than the last, I don't understand why that thread was closed down. Best thread sciforums has had the priveledge of harbouring for litterally years.
 
Reverse psychology. The thread was closed to create traffic, as sciforums is quiet
lately. By closing the thread, there will be this kind of threads, polls to open the
thread back, etc. After 5 to 10 pages of this thread, it will be opened again. People
love to fight over something, it gives a feeling like a hero.

Don't take it seriously, I am just kidding. :eek:
 
I imagine it was closed because a lot of whinny pukes couldn't take it. Lous were the best. I was thinking of opening a thread to vote for which pitcher was the best. But I'm too lazy to do that. Anyone else want to take on the task?
 
I think red's graphs adequately describe both the levity and the intelligence in the posts during that thread's history. The original ``pitchers'' were meant to be light hearted caricatures, but they eventually turned into malicious effigies.

How can you vote? Wouldn't you have to list every picture?
 
It doesn't even exist any more, it seems JamesR closed the thread the moment HE was offended.

Doesn't surprise me! Could you PM it to me by chance? I didnt get a chance to save it and make a shrine to it on my desktop.
 
Dr Lou pic of Asguard driving the Ablaince( or whatever) is my # 1 vote, that one made me really laugh. #2 vote goes to James R spinning Sam around.... LOL
