Recent: Uploading or pasting any image takes forever

What's changed? Recently, when I paste any image - even a very small one, the site pops up a mesage that says "Uploading - 100%" which just stays there. It happens even if I upload the same image from my drive.

It locks up the post, so it can't be edited, and if I refresh the page before it goes away, the post does not get saved.

Seems to be ok, the image goes milky for a few seconds then the image is clear with "uploading 100%"

Yeah. I dunno. When I upload thated 14kb file today, it worked fine.

Well, it wasn't just a one-off. It happened over several days, or I wouldn't have mentioned it.
