If we could somehow know everything that exists & the cause(s) of everything & have the brain power to handle all that info & do the computing, we could predict the future.

Or because it cannot make a square triangle.
Boxers, who I would contend the average pugilist,
would not be the brightest bulb in a chandler
can make a square ring![]()
Not if the universe is inherently probabilistic, which QM suggests it is, as I understand (I could be wrong). If we could somehow know everything that exists & the cause(s) of everything & have the brain power to handle all that info & do the computing, we could predict the future.
Well they're not here to defend themselves or clarify their assertions.I find many people who claim God is omnipotent. The vast majority do not include logic impossibilities. Omnipotent means all powerful, having the power to do anything possible.
No, it would simply be misrepresentative of an atheist's viewpoint. But that would not be circular thinking. The Origin of Species (Darwin'sbible) does not propose that apes evolved from humans.

If so then you could at best you probabilisticly predict the future: e.g. 10% chance of this, 5% chance this etc.
Accurate prediction based on cause and effect surely requires a deterministic system?

I think the term *ring* is a left-over from earlier days when combat sports used a round ring, as they still do in Sumo wrestling.I do not yet know the etymology of that. I always thought it is silly, at best. <>

?Neither is whatever you based your statement on.
I think you'll find that there are precious few people who espouse a God that is literally omnipotent.
Someone mentioned in the days of bare knuckle fighting a ring was scratched out on the ground which spectators were expected to keep behind

I didn't put words in their mouths. I simply predicted you won't find what you claim to experience. Those people are not here to affirm & clarify.

I predict this thread to be getting very very logical soon.I predict you can find it.
I find many people who claim God is omnipotent.....vast majority do not include logic impossibilities
Why not?
Omnipotent means all powerful, having the power to do anything possible
Which would include eliminating logic impossibilities
That is only logical Captain
