Is the role of government to maximize the freedom (where freedom is defined as the ability to seek and live the type of life they desire) of the composing body or to ensure the composing body lives with what would have once been called ethos, but I suppose nobly means about the same. (I'm looking for opinions not an acclaimed truth).
