Mods are too lax

you know you could make my job easier, if you PM me with the posts you have a problem with i wouldnt have to search so hard to find the problems (and i could also post for my own pleasure as well rather than quickly scaning for all the issues and not getting around to the reason i came here to start with)

Still can't believe you're a bloody moderator.

I say I say, there's gonna be a shitload of time on my hands so I nominate me for modership of the Human Science forum.
It hasn't been touched by its mod in years.

M? I think if Gendy Stinky Girl starts to mod we'll all turn smart within a week.

hopefully you will come to your senses like you did the last time you considered a modship
Don't bet your nuts on it.

This time I'm dead serious. When I ramble here I find my craft improves by *that* much and when or if my sloppy pretentiousness of being a writer finally sits itself down to write up its book, I'll have you and her and them to thank for it.

Imagine it, a dedication to Spooky in the preface..

So I say, since modership gives me an actual incentive to stay here and since no one knows your cortical mantle like I do and since I'm fair and balanced like Geraldo, I'd make an excellent moderator for the Human Science or Biology section.

Imagine the madenning essays on madness and curious diseases, the mysteries and oddities of physical science that your average textbooks fail to capture in their dryness.
No wonder children go through school hating science and literature and histroy- look who's teaching it and how.

So what say we, Filligree? Aye.

I swear one day I'll beat the 'facetious' out of you, Gustavio.

you lack confidence dear
i meant what i said
i think you will make an excellent mod and you got my vote

That's two ayes and an eye I'll gouge from the Whitewofl for being such a witch.

2 down, 3 to go and James will install me.

I like the moderation here a lot. I dont notice it at all. not one bit. Ive checked out a few other forums lately that wouldve made me want to hunt and hurt the moderator(s) if Id logged on more than a few times. as for obnoxious pointless people: it takes about 7 posts max to learn a name im likely to not waste another second of my life on reading again. Its slightly annoying sometimes when some of my fav posters get sucked in to the crap, but hey, everyone needs a bit of release sometimes. who am i to critisize how people go about it. its easy enough to scan a post and quickly realize its not worth the read and move on. frankly with the massive numbers of posts contributed to my fav threads, im sort of thankful when 20 of the 200 posts turn to shite so i can skip ahead heh

In all honesty, I think the mods here are about the best I've seen, and I've already been banned for one week. *Not trying to suck up.* If I had been a mod in JamesR's stead, I would have banned myself a lot sooner, I think. The feel of this place is just right. Don't change a thing. ;)

I've long admired how much crap James puts up with but he never loses his calm. I think he's really quite fair.

And I'm not just saying that because he's almost banned my ass a couple times :).

I think there's a 'good mod' personality out there. One could probably make a standardized test for it, and instead of scoring 'Guardian' or 'Architect' or whatever they put on those things, you'd get 'Fair Mod.' That'd be James.

Good mods tend to like people. Or at least, enjoy helping people. Patience. That's it. Fair mods are patient. Patient with the worst people have to offer on the anonymity of the intranet.

Hmmm... I'm not sure if Gendanken likes people enough to be a good mod.

Scratch that. Is she patient enough to make a good mod?

Well, she couldn't be any worse than Xev.

Gendy, I'll never forget about the fish smell ;) However, you have my respect in general and full support in your aspiration for modship.

I'd mod, too, in any section. My posts are limited but I read extensively. However, I recall it was said there's no need for any new mods.
