The masteringchemistry assignments are worth 20% of the marks for my chemistry class this year but I can't figure out what they mean. Heres my scores page

anyone have any idea what in the hell that means? I did fairly well and 93% would make sense but I'm not sure if thats what it says I got or not.

"Score" is presumably the raw score on each assignment. The "Assigned points" is the number of points allocated for each assignment overall, I'd guess. "Weight" is what percentage of the total score the assigned points make on each of the assignments.

So, you seem to have got 88 points out of a possible 95, which is 92.6%

Ah right thanks. Since those assignments are worth 20% thats 18.52%. Did my chemistry test today it was pretty hard so I'd say I needed that 18%.

Jeez, you must have landed in some easy chemistry course if they let homework alone account for 20% of the final grade. Way back when I took Gen Chem 1 and 2, HW was 5%, Lab was 25%, and exams were 70%.

It was one of the hardest courses around, right up there with Organic Chem and Human A&P.

It wasn't that easy. I studied chemistry in my own time before doing the course but I still had trouble with it. Then again I only went to about 3 lectures throughout the year. The chemistry lab was a separate module. Its gonna get a lot harder next year. I'm majoring in chemistry and the second year of my course is pretty much all chemistry with a bit of pharmacology and statistics.
