This guy does not have down syndrome. His appearence does not show any of the stereotypical characteristics of the disorder. People with the disorder have oblique eye fissures with epicanthic skin folds on the inner corner of the eyes, muscle hypotonia (poor muscle tone), a flat nasal bridge, a single palmar fold, a protruding tongue (due to small oral cavity, and an enlarged tongue near the tonsils), a short neck, and Brushfield spots. He doesn't look like this guy.

Which one of these attributes doesn't he have?
You can't see the tongue clearly in photos but he's famous for having a tongue that doesn't fit in his mouth and gives him a lisp.
Other than that they are all quite evident in the photo.

Are you talking about jamie oliver or that little blonde kid? I agree that kid, while very weird looking, doesn't quite tick off the down's syndrome boxes.
But jamie oliver, with the luxury of hindsight, quite obviously and blatantly does have down's syndrome.
I think it's weird because it was unknown, not because he looks normal, he doesn't.

Well, he's not "just" a cook, he's also a very successfull television presenter, and yes he does show kids with down's syndrome they can be successfull, it's a great story.

When I told my son he went red, I wasn't sure if he was inspired or embarrassed. Looking back I suppose it was just embarrassment, who gets red with inspiration? Wishfull thinking on my part.
Perhaps not such a lovely story afterall.
 
It is only apparent when one has a down syndrome from videos of those people...the way they speak and respond.

Why did he go red? Do you actually have a son with the syndrome?

And I extremely doubt Jamie Oliver has Down's. You can't have it and not know about it, the difficulties would be too severe.

He goes a long way in hiding it and acting "normal".
 
Well, not only have you insulted people with Down Syndrome with your complete lack on understanding of the condition, you seem to have your facts wrong. It is a scientifically proven fact that it is only the females with Down Syndrome that can reproduce the males are sterile. So to make a quote from Jools as you did shows complete and utter ignorance. Your so called professor who conducted the test should have known this. I have lived with a young man with Down Syndrome and to try and insult someone by claiming they are a mongoloid just shows how pathetic you are.
