Is there really life on other planets?

In the bible it's written that God created man in his own image, meaning he created only us.

Can it explain the reason why we haven't found life on other planets maybe because threre isn't any?

I can see 2 reasons why we haven't succeeded in finding life on other planets:

1. Life was created exclusively on this planet by God.

2. The conditions required for life to form are very rare and life has formed in just a few places.

basing your theories and evidence from the bible and god and posting it on a science forum is hypocrytical and oximoronic

Like kmguru, I would like to think that the Human race will eventually (a loooong time from now) evolve into a benevolent species, in whatever form they then possess. I would also like to think that our descendants will get out into Deep Space at long last--not just fooling around in the Solar System, but out there beyond Pluto, leaving our Sun lost among the background stars. Hopefully by the time we've developed technology to travel easily throughout the Galaxy, we will have learned not to kick people in the head so often as an automatic reaction. Perhaps by then the Star Trek Prime Directive will actually be worth the paper it's written on...

^ If we could find a way to accelerate the whole planet off around in space, then we could carry our planet all around the universe at light speed. :D

I imagine too much :p

Indeed; I daresay this thread has already come close to being shifted to the sci-fi area--if we were going to do as you suggest, Naturelles, we would have to take some sort of artificial sun with us. Perhapsa a small sun like the star that circles Discworld...

I'd like to think that but there's no other reason to think it'll be that way. There's no reason to think humans will evolve into benevolence. Technology advancement doesn't mean advancement in morals. The Prime Directive is the most fictional part of Star Trek, sadly.

There's another you in the universe. It goes on forever. Endless possibilities make for endless manifestations of everything. We can't wrap our heads around how vast the universe is.

Nonsense !
I am the one and only me. :bugeye:

In a world with infinite limits there are infinite possibilities and since the range of those possibilities extends until forever, there is an infinite number of anything -- including you. You just aren't aware of it. You not being aware of it doesn't change that, though.

Infinite limits ?

Who says there are infinite possibilities ?

one definition of infinite is :

unlimited or unmeasurable in extent of space, duration of time, etc

And I'd say that's fairly right on in the context of this thread.

If you are thinking of parallel universes with extremely similiar duplicates, there is no reason to think the Enmos in this universe is the Enmos in universe X & the Enmos in universe X is the Enmos in universe 6HHD4441. Each Enmos is a separate thing.
It is silly to speak of the YOU in a parallel universe. It's not YOU.

Yep, even if they are identical.

Where are you getting this rubbish? This is the astronomy forum, not the religious forum. You can believe whatever you want without qualifying it there, but not here. That is, assuming you want to be taken seriously.

In the bible it's written that God created man in his own image, meaning he created only us.

...That makes no sense. One, any life on any other planet would most likely look nothing like man, let alone a human species that shares our DNA and looks just like us. I still have no clue what you are talking about. I mean yeah it's in the bible that God created man in his own image, but using your logic here, that means he never created plants, animals, bacteria, etc. I mean something created in God's image is not what constitutes life. Anything that has DNA is alive. I mean your logic makes no sense. Because God created man in his own image has absolutely nothing to do with him creating other life. For all we know, he created other life in his own image on another planet. It's not like the Bible says "God created man in his own image, and nothing else in his own image". Even if that was in the bible, that doesn't mean there ISN'T life NOT in the form of God. Your logic is very poor.
