The OT mainly is about the Jew's history.
I treat Bible as literature.
Grok'd!

Modern Jews not even believe what their ancestors wrote.
Well, depending on how you view it...the Bible has been controlling a number of people for centuries.
Me thinks the clergy of the early church, who ''wrote'' the Bible, were dumb...

No problem but I am looking for your moral view of it.
Does their history show a moral God or not in your view?

You're deliberately evading the issue, aren't you?We crucify people. News to me.
So is the fact that you indicate of the justice system sacrificing itself.
God is moral by definition. God defines moralty.... moral God....
I cannot opine on something I do not see.

A soldier or a police officer or a bus driver can sacrifice his own life for others. That is not "human sacrifice".
If Jesus sacrificed himself to save us - to get us probabtion, parole or pardon - that is not "human sacrifice" either.
Christians do not "believe in human sacrifice".
God is moral by definition. God defines moralty.
God didn't order Jesus to sacrifice himself. Jesus volunteered.Note that the soldier' C O did not throw the grenade and then order the soldier to throw himself on it the way God did with Jesus.
Jesus wasn't murdered; he was executed - more words that you don't understand.Do you agree then that genocide against mankind is good justice and that having your child needlessly murdered is also good justice?
God didn't order Jesus to sacrifice himself. Jesus volunteered.
The "truer scenario" is that the CO gave an order and the soldier sarificed himself to prevent some collateral damage. That is not "human sacrifice".

There was a sacrifice. The soldier (Jesus) sacrificed his own life. The civilians (Christians) were saved.Ok. There was no sacrifice. I agree. Now Christians do not get salvation.
There was no "human sacrifice". Why is it so hard for you to admit that?
Does it? I thought he ws supposed to be a Gnostic. His religion requires him to believe in Christian human sacrifices.
