Is anybody actually doing anything about climate change?

Oh look, another political hack pushing his anti-science agenda. Are you an anti-vaxxer, too? A flat Earther? An Apollo hoaxer? A Truther? A contrailer? Just to get a sense of the scope of your anti-science positions.
He's a proud Trump voter, so there's a very high chance that he is also one or more of the above.

"Trump voter":

Yes.

"An Apollo hoaxer?"

Saw the thing happen, real time.

"A Truther?"

Inclined to assume there might be a reason.

"A contrailer?"

I've actually known one. A client

"Just to get a sense of the scope of your anti-science positions."

Um, I taught science for 36 years. (Astronomy, Physics, Chemistry, people aren't as dumb as they appear.)

I'm suspecting you haven't.

Epic fail.

Nothing seems to exist beyond your preferential horizons.

We all live in yellow cardboard boxes, yellow cardboard boxes, yellow cardboard boxes...

"Climate Change"

It's always been happening. Forever.
That is one of the ways we know how seriously climate change can impact those who are around at the time. Large regions have been made uninhabitable by climate changes less than what is happening now, extincting everyone who lived there. It is dangerously irresponsible to ignore the decades of consistent top level science based advice, that was commissioned by governments in order to make informed decisions about it.

I note that climate when agriculture and civilisations emerged was unusually stable - climate change was only happening over a much narrower temperature band and slower than most of (all of?) the time homo sapiens has existed as species, yet even the relatively small climate changes during the Holocene impacted those civilisations and the populations dependent on them in major ways. The warming we are experiencing now should not be casually dismissed as insignificant.

We're still here.

We adapt. Well, those that survived.

Most of them were hysterics.
536 AD. Worst year in history. You probably know why. That was nature. Today, it's us and we aren't stopping it, we have been doing it for decades and it's getting worse. It's not something we can easily adapt. It's definitely not hysterics. And, for someone who boasts of teaching science for decades should easily understand the science with climate change, yes?

"Trump voter":

Yes.
What swayed you to vote, was it Trumps promise to lower prices on day one of his presidency or was it the snatching up of colored people to be sold to El Salvador?

It's a cult. Once they're programmed, all their previous knowledge and critical thinking skills are abandoned.

Our government is illegitimate, shit-stupid, and criminal. Tell everyone about Kilmar - people need to be angry about these gross violations of the Constitution. Without due process and the rule of law, the America most of us believe in will be gone.
