Iran seizes 15 British troops in Persian Gulf

I don't know: I was rather hoping you could answer the above questions in context of your current position on things. I rather think the Yanks should go home. Should the Iranians?

I think Iraq and Iran should unite.:)
The Shias are the majority in Iran, but Baluchistan is its own nation with its own proud history and traditions. Why does Iran think it can oppress a distinct nation and force its mercenary soldiers onto the peaceful native Baluchistanians? Anyone who believes that that's ok should move to Iran, I think. Its anti-Baluchistanianism at its worst.

Hmm I sense a strawman.

The province today is one of the most underdeveloped, desolate, and poorest of Iran's provinces. The government of Iran has been trying to reverse this situation by implementing new plans such as creating the Chabahar Free Trading Zone. Talks have also been underway for building automobile assembly plants in the zone as well.
I'm sure you'll find that the attack in 2006 occurred outside a Revolutionary Guards compound. The insurgents in Baluchistan are merely trying their best to be free of the occupation by Iranian forces. Look, Sam: all the people of Baluchistan want is to be free. Is this so much for Iran to grasp or grant?

Hmm is that like the insurgents in Lebanon and Palestine?

I think they are far behind the other players in the West in that regard, including Israel.

This is irrelevant. You are using unassociated issues to confound the fact that the mercenaries of the Iranian regime are oppressing the native Baluchistanians. Some have compared their occupation to a genocide. The cold fact of it is that you don't care about the occupation of Baluchistan. That's fine, but at least have the moral courage to admit that you don't.

So that Shias can oppress Sunnis more efficiently in Iraq? Yeah, that's a great idea. Why don't you stop occupying Sunni land, eh? Oh, of course: oil. I forgot. Typical of Iranian Big Oil interests.

Oh, wow: they're going to throw a few crumbs at the peaceful, oppressed Baluchistanians? Great. Meanwhile, Iranian oil keeps flowing and that's the only thing important to Iranian Big Oil.

Hmm is that like the insurgents in Lebanon and Palestine?

No, they deliberately target civvies.

Its obvious that the Shias must protect their cultural identity in a land where they are surrounded by er, vicious Arabs.

See, everyone is jealous of the Iranians because they are so much better at running their economy. Especially since they are (as Persians) the ones who brought civilisation to the world.:(

So the Sunni insurgents in Iran bombed troops?

And what about these?

My words are quite clear: invaders and occupiers should get out of Baluchistan now. But, as I said: it's Shi'ites doing it, so you probably don't care. I suppose you'll feel the same when they start doing it to Iraqi Shi'ites next year. Do the Shia deserve a homeland?

was that cynical sam?

Umm I think you are confused about Baluchistan.

What a bloody giveaway. Racism. Anti-Baluchistanianism. Sad.

I have no idea what this is meant to refer to on the issue of Baluchistanian freedom or their oppression. If you think your mindless support of the soulless Iranian oil industry is going to win you anything, you're wrong.

So the Sunni insurgents in Iraq bombed troops?

No, in Iran. That's the country beside Iraq. Although Karachi per se is in Pakistan. I suppose it's a provincial thing.
