My first computer was a 8 bit acorn electron, and back then I was happy when I could play Pacman with my eyes closed. When you could make your own games with C:/, when the crazy noises a Spectrum made was music to you ears, unless it crashed, which it did, a lot. Now we have mega machinse which allow us to create whatever we can imagine. I wonder to myself just how far technology will take us. Will we come to a point when man and machine eventually begin to merge? It makes me think of GITS.

I believe we are already seeing the "merge" happening. Many things today we use have a chip in them even people! Think about it, the defibrillator for hearts, the dialysis machines, microwave ovens, cars, planes and on and on.

Enmos! Hey! I see you resurrected one of your old sock puppets! ;)

Hey Emmz!

That's not going to happen. The human brain has over 10^9 neurons, and a computer chip built to imitate that wolud require enormous amounts of electricity and space. Apart from that, the human brain can store over 5 times the Library of Congress in memory.

so, no, that's not going to happen.

What I'd like to know is when are they going to start reproducing programs and games which actually work correctly! Lazy bastards.
