How to spot misogynists and misandrists

I'd say that types like Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby tend to spring to mind, when the term ''misogyny'' comes up. But, this article points out that they're not always easy to spot. Same for misandrists. There are also women out there who have a prejudice towards men, or loathe men, in general. It's important to note that most misogynists and misandrists have dealt with early childhood trauma of some type, and perhaps, this is the mechanism by which they've learned to navigate through life.

What you'll note from these two articles, is that they're nearly identical. Just swapping out the term ''men'' for ''women,'' when it comes to misandry.
 
i almost called out someone pushing the boundaries of sexist type casting in a sale pitch yesterday.
"know your audience"
There are ice breakers
and there are rule/boundary breakers

it clearly made the young women feel uncomfortable(and it singled her out by gender and had sexual connotations, saying it to a man would be socially ok saying it to a woman would be socially questionable dependent on the personal relationship).
her 2 other co-workers sitting with her didn't know how to respond apart from mumble a very muffled laugh to try and break the silence.

i was just waiting for the opportunity to throw the guy out of the office and incur his business many thousands of dollars worth of losses for it.

what was crossing my mind was, if he was attempting to exploit her by making her feel uncomfortable to exploit her embarrassment to use as an ice breaker to avert attention from himself for having to provide more detail about the product, and try to force a sales close by pushing an emotive sense of embarrassment to avoid further objection to purchase.

i listened as he then attempted to inject excuses into the situation to try and splain his sales pitch as being normal and child friendly by saying he had 2 daughters.
i thought that was a good sign he knew he was either lying about having the 2 daughters
or he realised he had to do something fairly special to save himself from being thrown on the morally questionable pile and pushed out the door(something that would impact his national brand).

i could not tell if he was a borderline sociopath , bi sexual or sexual deviant(getting off any way they can at others expense) playing different characters attempting to play camp to open doors to sales.

if it is true(that he has 2 roughly 10 year old daughters)
the universe may be re-aligning his semi misogynist personality via his 2 early school age daughters forcing him to re examine parts of himself that will either kill him or change him.
...maybe... i was witnessing that struggle, i suspect he is a borderline alcoholic with possible borderline bi-polar

because it is mostly un-comprehended
the associations, bias, subconscious mechanisms and drives all have different aspects.
most often these aspects are inside collective behaviours which make them very similar to normal subconscious bias.

there is also a strong desire by many to maintain misandry as an excuse to project guilt-reasoning toward conformist paradigms that enable affirmative stances on "no need for change" or power structures & coping mechanisms.

child custody battles are frought with sexism, personality battles, sadism(physical & psychological), sexism misogyny & misandry

any port in a storm will do
even if that port is the home of cannibalistic mercenarys

Gross that the sales guy acted like that. Might not be a misogynist, though. Misogyny is characterized by a loathing or disdain for women, a prejudice if you will, of all women simply for “being” women. The traits listed in the articles when joined together, make up a misogynist’s playbook.

Sexism isn’t always about misogyny. But, a misogynist will always be sexist because he can’t help himself. Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby are the worst types of offenders, but there are everyday misogynists who keep to themselves but also hate women. Same for misandrists, although we as a culture, don’t like to talk about misandry as often as misogyny. That’s not because it barely exists, but it’s not as front and center as misogyny. At least in the media.

I’ve known very kind men who have gone through horrific divorces, their ex wives making their lives a living hell. I think those women are misandrists, having known the details. These women literally wanted to destroy their ex husbands in custody suits and so on. So women can be hateful, too. It’s just displayed differently.

one could argue he was deliberately using sex to embarrass her in front of the group to make her not want to ask any questions after he had observed the rest of the group looking to her as a leader
power play using sexist content to undermine the individual in the group to try and dominate the sales close.

which is why i am so careful not to get into too much detail on line.
there is no shortage of people who use such technology to destroy people.

Most foids are misandrists in some sense. And most foids only want to date chads and tyrones while not giving ugly men any chance at all.

Incels that have been rejected by millions upon millions of women know that most foids can be misandristic in some sense.

Do you consider all women to be ''foids,'' pluto? What is it that you seek from women, from dating? Do you feel a sense of incompleteness or inadequacy due to your lack of dating experience with women? I ask because maybe you're simply placing too much self-worth value on what women think of you. It's great to be liked and desired by the opposite sex, but it shouldn't be how we define our worth.

I think it is important to make a clear distinction from a hatred towards an individual and a hatred to wards an identifiable group of individuals.
If I am not mistaken Misogyny and Misandry are preemptive** discriminatory adverbs that describe a persistent preconception towards a gender.

** Preemptive in the context that the individual with these attitudes will be self-primed to behave in a certain way towards any one that falls into his/her discrimination agenda.
The terms refer to a persistent gender based loathing and not just to a single instance of individual hatred, say, due to a nasty divorce etc... IMO.


For example our member Pluto demonstrates severe misogyny where he blames women for his ugliness. He fails to understand that by being misogynist his "ugliness" is no longer skin deep but a part of his personality as well and further fails to understand that ugly personalities are rarely attractive to women (and most men) and not just the pretty ones. Obvious low self esteem and self loathing rarely is.
Perhaps some benefit could be gained if he could study the philosophy/psychology behind the story of Beauty and the Beast.
and note that if a woman is only interested in skin deep beauty then she also could be deemed to be ugly and transient because for one thing, the human body has limitations on how long it can stay visually appealing to those looking for superficial attributes.
Thus the old wisdom that while the body is mortal the soul is eternal...has some relevance.
Bottom line a misogynist/misandrist has dis-empowered themselves by placing responsibility for their sufferance upon others and not themselves where it belongs. the blame game. A form of projected self hatred.

It's interesting that perhaps it is the very rejection of their own feminity ( all males have a femine side - xy chromosomes ) that could explain why they reject women as well. Certainly why women would tend to reject incels.
Predominabtly extreme heterosexuality that prohibits the genuine formation of male to male relationships. A form of extreme homophobia perhaps that generates extreme isolation.
That being said hard core Incels are not really male even if they have physical attributes that suggest so.
More tending to yy instead of xy psychologically speaking.

Studies have shown that incels who use abusive language about and towards women, and have a deep rooted hatred of them, usually stem from some type of childhood trauma. Usually, they have witnessed their moms being abused by their dads, or their dads lack of respect towards women, or there's no dad around raising them, or their moms abused them, etc... Usually men who have had healthy, decent childhoods all things considered, don't wake up at 30 years old and suddenly find themselves labeled as ''incels.'' From what I've read about misogynists, the same thing. I don't think all incels are misogynists, but many seem to be, which is what is turning women away from them. Incels tend to pick on one attribute (their looks) as to why women are turned off by them, but if a guy is ugly inside, and feels threatened by women in general, it will cause him to repel women without him perhaps even being cognizant of it.
