I think you give people too little credit. And give TV shows too much power.

No TV show can turn the mind to mush, any more than a chocolate bar a week can turn the body to mush.

I was not previously aware of this "Buckwheat" character. Bear in mind that I am not American.

Having looked it up, I am now aware that Buckwheat was a racist stereotype character - in some ways abiguously so, but nevertheless. I see how this plays nicely for white racists these days, due to plausible deniability.

So, Bowser, you unmask yourself as racist as well as sexist.
