Have science proved that we have spirit/soul?

No spirit/soul is pseudoscience and all religion is pretty much delusional nonsense.

All religion is nothing more than a failed attempt to make people feel "better" by trying to make them "forget" how cruel and harsh this world and humans can be and believe me humans can be pretty evil and sadistic to one another.

If humans have a soul then other animals also must have a soul/spirit too which is nonsense because they don't.

The fact is that humans are biological machines just like the other animals in the animal kingdom and machines can't have a spirit or a soul.

True, but humans and many other animals do have abstract thoughts, even as they emerge from a biophysical substrate.

Think about what it would mean if science had proven that we have a spirit/soul.

For one thing, there would be no arguments about the existence of the "spirit world" or the "paranormal" etc. (except from some science deniers, perhaps).

What kind of weird bubble do you live in that might lead you to think that perhaps science has proved the existence of ghosts, or souls, or God?

That sounds authoritative. You've studied "all religion", have you? So you are qualified to make sweeping statements like that about "all religion".

What if there was a religion out there that did not seek to make people forget about the cruel and harsh world, for instance? Hint: there are, in fact, many.

I don't know where you get your "must" from, there.

You sound very sure of yourself. How do you know that animals don't have souls?

Are you aware that certain major religions teach that humans have souls while other animals don't? Clearly, the hundreds of millions of followers of those religions don't share your opinion that this idea is "nonsense". You'll probably need more than just your say-so to convince them that you're right and they are all wrong.

How do you know?

The concept soul was born from religion, and the meaning of it in layman language is personality.

A clear example is found in the Bible, where it says that all that have capability of breathing is a "living soul".

Then, not only humans, but crocodiles. chicken, apes, bees, even plants have a personality, or better to say, a soul.

Religion states that the soul of the individual is the one to be judged, this is to say, his personality, behavior and actions performed by the individual. No physical body is to be judged neither the spirit which provided life to the individual but his personality.

A curiosity about this search for what soul is, can be found in the University of Pennsylvania, at the early days when the experiments with X-rays started, and an attempt was made using X-rays to obtain an image of the human soul.

(I assume spirit = soul. Look like what you see in movie, ghost)

No. It can't. It's you who decides. The 1st Amendment thingy.

You get to believe whatever you want. You also can't decide such things for others.

Science can't decide for you. Science is more about disproof than proof. Experiments and all. Process of elimination.

The invisible and the non-existent look very much alike. Science isn't able to prove the distinction. (Dark Matter, Energy)

I don't know that I have a spirit or a soul. I've seen no evidence.

But I am defending your right to believe that you do/have both.

You make my world somewhat more hopeful.
