Global Warming: The Greatest Hoax in the History of Science

Sit-ins at segregationist restaurants during the civil rights era were technically illegal too, all kinds of civil disobedience and activism are illegal, that's why people get arrested!

Civil disobedience in the sense you were referring to is one thing, but this sentence is something else..
“We know who you are. We know where you live. We know where you work. And we be many, but you be few.”
....or....
Screw being climate activists. It’s not working. We need an army of climate outlaws.
What is that supposed to mean? How does one become a climate outlaw? Would it be presumptuous of me to assume vandalism? Destruction of "climate offending" property?

Did you watch the 10:10 video?
Don't want to join our AGW brigade, well, we blow you to pieces!

Or the kid spouting the threatening AGW propaganda?

Don't find anything at all unsettling about those? Not even the second video?
Tell me; if those were "Tea Party" people talking about Obama's policies that way, you and several other suspects would be having a field day, wouldn't you?:bugeye:

But that would be different, cuz he's black. I know, I know...

Hmmm...
heh... GreenPEACE...

They have different aspirations, it seems.
What's more, none of the people who are onboard with the climate change fanaticism cared to comment. I'm guessing the line would go something like "Oh, well. Anything to call attention to climate problems, right?"

Oh, it's nothing new. Doomsayers have been around since the dawn of recorded history, and most certainly were around before that.
Lying is another disgrace that is often treated as allowable for a "cause." It seems that distorting the truth or outright lying are "ok" if it's done for noble intentions.
Whether it is climate change, pollution, anti-nuke demonstrations or trans fats in food, the militant members of the crowd will always find a way to justify behaving outrageously given the seriousness of their "cause."

As long as they don't injure or kill or blow up buildings-- Let them have their airs. It makes them feel needed and good about themselves.

Excepting PETA, of course. Their airs produce smog.

Think of all the money they would save on space suits.

Ah, no Joseph, physiology is physiology, they would not live without a spacesuit on the moon. It's not just about having a source of O2.

Arthur

Famous last words? I nominated a city sized dome, as well as outside movements. I also pointed out, it is not a multi-choice question. Its about use it or loose it: its the only way to take care of this planet. Pray the pop and pol will increase 10 fold.

If someone told me 20 years back we could de-meterialize a song or pictorial and get it acorss the other end of the planet in 3 seconds, delivered uncorrupted - I would have emulated your reaction - that would be my famous last words.

I didn't say anything about your city sized dome, I just pointed out that human physiology does not permit someone to exist in space without a space suit. We may change our technology, but that doesn't change our physiology. You might want to look up Partial Pressure of O2 as it relates to the ability to breathe. (there are other issues to being exposed to the vacuum of space, but they don't matter if you can't breathe)

As to your second point, REALLY?

You think a simple improvement in rate of transfer of data is equated to overcoming an inate part of human physiology?

Does anyone have any good image of trees under an ocean? These trees are dead because they are land based trees and cant grow under salt water. Wonder how they got there.

I think that at one time there was no water on the earth then came the rain and the trees grew with other plants and we had rivers, the rivers turned to oceans. It was hot so some water evaporated and made the clouds.

Why would you post this in a thread about Global Warming?

And no, I don't know of any such pictures, but then numerous low lying areas across the globe have become flooded by changes in the earth's crust and so it's entirely possible to find trees like this.

BUT

It's a relatively rare phenomena.

If it was as you claim it would be a COMMON finding under all our oceans.

It's not.

Sea level never rises that fast anyway. Most trees would already be long dead before they became completely submerged. Besides, they would be killed by the salinity of the water as the sea comes closer to their habitat. It takes a special kind of plant to live in that environment.

It wouldn't be from sea level rise, but as I said, flooding because of crustal changes.

Like the flooding of the Black Sea.

Which is why it could occur, but not be common.

In most cases the trees break down in the salt water and disintegrate.

You have to remeber, Arthur, salt water is very corrosive.

To metals, and even then not if it is cold and low on Oxygen.

Those trees didn't grow there, they floated there on the river until they became waterlogged and sank.

Arthur

Actually you are wrong about them decaying.

http://www.seanav.com/index.php?entry=nav-examples

harvesting preserved trees from the BOTTOM of lakes behind dams using a specially-designed, tree-grappling, chainsaw-wielding, Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) called "Sawfish,"

these trees are perfectly preserved in the low-oxygen environment of the lake bottom and the wood is used to make wonderful furniture and other products

Arthur

Arthur, that is a fresh water lake. I am referring to OCEANS.

Salt wouldn't change much of anything, it's low oxygen that is the key issue.

Secondly, I didn't see any pictures of trees that are now still in the place they were growing, under salt water.

Arthur

I just pointed out that human physiology does not permit someone to exist in space without a space suit.

Once, people never left their villages all their lives. Our skins are suits. Man must control his environment - not the other way around.

Yes. It points the path forward. One day, humans will be able to move Jupiter 5% to the left. Otherwise say goodbye humans, goodbye mother earth. There is no alternative to going forth and having dominion of all the worlds. We are it - nothing else out there.

Oxygen did not exist on this planet before - it came later, just prior to life's emergence. This says we can create a breathing mix anyplace.
