Flag for Earth

Good idea, so long as you have the technology to imbed a hologram-thingy into fabric and still make it light enough to flap in the wind.
 
Big black flag with a tiny blue/green dot somewhere on it that can only be detected with an electron microscope, to symbolize how insignificant we are in the cosmos. :D

What makes yellow neutral? and why isn't blue neutral? blue is more neutral than yellow if you ask me. Yellow to me symbolizes alarm, danger, fear, stuff like that. Blue is neutral, calm, etc.
But anyway the colors would have an actual meaning, like the sea. Yellow doesn't symbolize anything related to the earth does it? unless you want to count the fear and stuff of the world....

Not many countries have yellow in their flag. That's the sole basis of my argument.

This is my version:

The shade of blue is from an actual satellite photo, it's blue because most of our planet's surface is water,
besides then nobody gets angry because his continent or island isn't shown.

The three green lines mean that our planet is the third from the central star and they're green to symbolise life.

Actually I tried to add some yellow (for the sun), but it sucked, looked too messy, i.e., too much stuff.
I'll make another version with the sun though, just have to install one program (GIMP lacks shapes).
 
The world flag's already been designed, it's just that most people haven't realised it yet.

Seriously (sort of) -
Hasn't it been conjectured that political division of the world is slowly but surely falling by the wayside in favor of economic blocs ?

Wal-Mart is the biggest employer in the world; biggest retailer in the world...

They obviously know a thing or 3 about handling money & whatnot, managing large numbers of people, moving goods to & fro.

All stuff governments do...

They have a smiley face for a logo. We could put that on the flag.
It's even yellow...

It's the perfect way to indicate to the mutlitudes of life-forms the universe is undoubtely teeming with :rolleyes: that after a long, annoying trip thru the cosmos to get here, they can buy a cheap pair of comfy slippers, some junk food and soda pop, maybe a chintzy CD player & some "corporate-approved" jams, and relax with us crazy Rebel Apes while we explain about how God made the universe just for us.
