Feedback on forum software upgrade

Generally, I like when the text background is something else than white. That why I liked the original version. I think white is too bright for the eyes. Once I even changed it for Reddit. Can't we have maybe a light grey/blue background???

White background kills my eyes so I use the Windows inverted high contrast display setting that inverts the contrast of the screen so I see white text on a black background.

Are searches working? I think the searching indexes only go back to the point of the software upgrade. This is a BIG problem for me; I search for old Physics posts all the time!!

This is a test. It is only a test.

Just a brief test on the new line spacing in the post display. The purpose, of course, is to figure out what happens if I superscript [sup]1[/sup] or subscript[sub]2[/sub] text, and whether the apparent 1.5 spacing will remain constant or adjust accordingly. With the former layout, superscripts and subscripts changed the line spacing, creating an obvious visual discord. I'm not certain what I actually expect when I paste this text into the editor and see the result, but for the most part nobody really needs to notice anything. This is primarily for my benefit, but I suppose anyone who uses super- and sub-scripts might want to take the note, as well. Testes, testes ... one, two ... three? (What? It's an old Beavis & Butthead joke[sup]3[/sup].)

Notes:

(1) That was a superscript.
(2) And, naturally, that was a subscript.
(3) I think it's in the "Socko" episode.

Test 1 -- URLs are now setoff, both in quotes and regular text as different than normal text: Works if distinct

Test 1 does not pass tests in the "Go Advanced" preview.

Test 2 -- Color tag test RED ; blue, quoted ; Dk green, hex ; Brown, hex, quoted ; So far so good

One more (new?) issue -- The date, but not the time of the post is now colored white as a foreground color. The HTML looks like this:
Code:
<span class="date">Today,&nbsp;<span class="time">04:23 PM</span></span>
so a CSS change that affected only class 'date' and not 'time' is very easy.

Scfiforums.com is actually correct, no type there wynn. This is the Finnish version of the sciforums, sc-fi-forums.

I do miss the previous font scheme. It provided this forum a distinctive character (no pun intended).

The date is given in thin white letters on a lightgrey background, so it is barely visible.
It should be in black, or at least in some more visible color.

Nice to see quoted post no longer are all in Italics. I don´t have time to test, but bet that a post quoted, which had book title etc. in italics, is now has that part distinct still when quoted.

Lets hope lossing color of post when quoted is fixed soon too.

Really?

Addendum: That worked.

So, then, this is a test. If there is no color in the quote, I have my answer.

Color displays in the preview. And the final result ...?

Colors work in quotes normally now :)

Also, for anyone having issues with the date not showing up for them: It is there, beside the time... but it's white-on-white...
