Despite repeated warnings about his behavior, he accrued 100 infraction points, in large part due to insulting numerous people (and, indeed, at times making statements that the entire forum besides himself and a select few supporters of his were mentally deficient for having thoughts/opinions that contradicted his own), often whilst refusing to support his own claims in any meaningful fashion.

Or, tl;dr - numerous rules violations

1. Insulting numerous people.

He was in thick of discussion with Paddoboy in around 3 threads. There was cross abuses, but Paddoboy was abusing / adhoming me, DMoE, ED and Schmelzer quite frequently in these three threads. Since you claimed to have read these threads, you would have surely noticed that Paddoboy was also insulting numerous people.

2. I did not see that he questioned the entire forum as being mentally deficient. At the best it could be just a rhetoric. Can you pl pin point where he called the entire forum mentally efficient?

3. Refusing to support his own claims.

As I said, Kittamaru, your expertise does not lie here in advanced physics. Nothing wrong with that. But you failed to understand that he made no claims, he was just making a very valid and deeper question, which Paddoboy was cluttering with his irrelevant copy pastes.

His question was very plain and simple to start with......in Hulse and Taylor deduction, why the orbital decay is taken solely due to gravitational wave energy loss?

Paddoboy was cluttering incessantly, without even understanding what those copy pastes meant, it was also unfortunate that Tiassa counted these copy pastes of abstracts by Paddoboy as valid propositions...what a pity that an enthusiastic energetic guy with an open mind is wasted.....I will say that this entire episode, letting the nonsense grow to this level despite my intermittent poking that thread is getting useless, and subsequent banning of ED is reflective of some malaise here.
 
It certainly seems to me that he should have been banned. I would only add that he should have been banned sooner, I think the moderators were extremely tolerant.

I think this is an ironic comment since it is clear that you have no expertise in even basic physics. But there is nothing wrong with that - it is just very ironic.

Yes, yes...Mods should tolerate time pass contributor like you and this infantile daecon. He is allowed to post on the science sub forum even after admitting that he does not post any science, he just trolls.
 
And this kind of bickering is exactly why, in general, inquiries to moderator actions are required to be kept to PM's to supermods and/or admins, as opposed to being posted in public... lets just stop the dick waving contest here and leave it at that.
