Does time exist outside of consciousness?

Duration is about the movement of physical things , not measured .

Time is about coordination between towns , cities etc . Otherwise each would have its own time . That happened and was a problem .
Hence time zones .

Time as a result of the analysis and comparison of abstractions.

I went in for surgery one night and was put down for the procedure. I was under for a couple days. It wasn't like regular sleep...no dreams. I was simply gone. Judging from that experience, I would say that time exists within consciousness, as does physical reality. It's like the saying that goes, "If a tree falls in the forest and there's no one to hear it, does it make a sound?"
