Did Pres. Obama throw Israel under the bus?

Did he or didn't he?

Obummers middle name is Hussein, which means he is of Muslim belief, his youth was spent in Indonesia. Obummer hates America, Life, Liberty and Freedom. His actions have proven that. It is not open to debate. It is fact. America is in a very difficult situation. People of Freedom are being asked to keep on spending for the frenzy of the democrat congresses since 2007 and are saying no. Obummer and the demos/status quo reps are acting like crooks and gangsters and spoiled thieves that want more and more at the expense of good hard working individuals.

Who is Obummer? and what does all of that have to do with this thread?

Zionism: A morbid joke that keeps on giving

Just because we apparently needed someone to laugh at, Michael Reagan has stepped up to offer his services.

Apparently, President Obama's May 19 speech on Israel, controversial for calling on the 1967 borders, is an attack on Christianity.

It seems the whole anti-Semitism charge didn't work out so well for American Zionists.

No, really. The article is titled, "Stop Obama's Attack on Christianity".

President Obama wants Israel to revert to the pre-1967 borders. That would mean handing some of Christianity's most sacred sites over to the Palestinian government, which for all intents is controlled by one of the world's most radical terrorist organizations, Hamas.

Do you want them to control some of the most sacred sites of our Christian history?

I didn't think so.

In a speech May 19, the president endorsed the Palestinians' demand that their future state be based on the borders that existed before the 1967 Middle East war, a move that has infuriated our ally Israel and is certain to endanger Christians' free access to holy sites ....

.... The president needs to reassure Israelis that the United States stands firmly behind their sovereignty over the border. There can be no wiggle room here. Either we are with the Israelis or against them.

Desperation.

A step in the right direction?
Apparently Netenyahu has 'All but' agreed to using the pre 1967 border as a starting point for negotiations.

In a dramatic policy shift, Israel's prime minister has agreed to negotiate the borders of a Palestinian state based on the ceasefire line that marks off the West Bank, a TV station has reported.

Up to now, Benjamin Netanyahu has refused to spell out his plan for negotiating the border. A senior Israeli official would not confirm outright that the prime minister was now willing to adopt the ceasefire line as a starting point, but said Israel was willing to try new formulas to restart peace talks based on a proposal made by US President Barack Obama.

Unfortunately I haven't seen anything to back that report up since. It's all been false hopes, false starts, rumours of talks about talks, I think the international community will ultimately have to step in and impose a solution. Netanyahu's under a lot of domestic and international pressure right now, but if he saw it coming in advance and wasn't willing to take the fallout, the situation wouldn't have progressed to where it is now, and if Netanyahu didn't see it coming, then he's an idiot and Israel's that much worse off for having him in charge.

Many of us have spoken about the demographic issues on the Palestinian side which make a compromise extremely difficult, but there hasn't been too much talk about Israeli demographic issues apart from efforts to demonize them. Israel won't be able to exist as a secular democracy if the Jewish religious public continues to rapidly outbreed the secular public while receiving outrageously disproportionate government spending and forcefully insulating their children from other cultures and lifestyles. I don't think they will cede the minimum requirements for a peace deal unless they're essentially coerced into accepting the move, and bankruptcy resulting from economic sanctions might not even be enough (think of a larger version of David Koresh's Branch Davidians).
