Would it have been possible for Christ to refuse God's will?
Christ is part of God...
Can anyone resist the will of God?No.
Jan.
According to the bible, yes. The bible reports Jesus as considering whether he would choose to go through the whole trial and crucifixion thing while waiting to be arrested in the garden of Gethsemane. It tells us that in the end he decided to go with God's will.Would it have been possible for Christ to refuse God's will?
If not, how can they have "free will"?Can anyone resist the will of God?
Good questionIf not, how can they have "free will"?
Can anyone resist the will of God?
If they choose to.
That’s what this temporary playground we call life, is for.
We can learn to resist the temptations that cause us to desire things that are of no spiritual benefit, or engage in it. It’s our choice.
The more we give in to temptation, the further away our conscious awareness is removed from the will of God.
When we resist the temptation, it can lead us to a state of diminished anxiety. In that state we can regain the ability to become God conscious.
