Trump could never have been as popular, as the present, if the times had been different. Trump appeared as the result of establishment politics, from both sides, no longer listening to the will of the people. The people are up in arms and Trump sensed the call of duty.
The conservative base got the Republican party the House and then the Senate, in two mid term elections, so the Republican establishment could fight changes in Washington that was eroding the middle class. Yet even with this leverage, the establishment republicans caved in and did not fight. The last budge did not cut anything even wth control of both houses. This meant that both parties had teamed up, with special interests groups, with an agenda different from the will of the people. Bernie Sanders sees this same affect, in his own party; special interests own his party. Bernie and Trump have the most enthusiast crowds and supporters because both men have tapped into a deep resentment against politics as usual by a ruling class.
Trump is not pure or ideal, but he represents a means to an end. The goal is to wrestle control of the America government away from the Washington elitists, their lobbyists and the propaganda machine press, who have set themselves up, at the expense of the America people. For example, amnesty for illegals was accepted by both parties since it gave cheap labor to business, and a permanent underclass for the Democratic poverty industries. But this arrangement will not be not good for high black unemployment or for middle class property taxes. The people will gain nothing by this, but will get to pay for a windfall by two political industries.
Many conservative realize Trump is not a pure conservative. He spent most of his life around Democrat politics n NY. However, the same people realize they need someone strong , to represent them, who is not on the take. Trump is self funding, while Bernie funds himself with small donations. Both represent men who can take on the system on behalf of the people. Trump has the advantage of being a billionaire, who knows the ways of the wealthy, who control the powers to be, from behind the scenes. This is political war. We don't need pretty but rather we need affective.
My prediction is Trump will team up with Cruz who is the smartest man in Washington and combine delegates. Cruz is hated in Washington because he is not corruptible. One of the first offensives in this war, may be to simplify the tax code down to the size of a postcard, which anyone can fill out without the need of accountants. This will get rid of the IRS and all the industries that benefit by a complex tax code.
The current 75,000 page tax code is how the establishment politicians hide bribes and kickbacks with specials interests. You get a donation and write some new code for a new tax consideration. This is money laundering. Once the 75,000 pages tax code is reduced to 1 page, this will cut off one of the heads from the corruption beast.
This is the real fear is coming from the propaganda machines of both establishments parties. They are using misinformation in an attempt to divide the will of the people, so the status quo beast is not killed.
