Accountants would make excellent presidents.
wow, cool..you know how to hack sciforums?
don't worry plazma, we're just going to improve the chain of command here...yes, improve..
looool i couldn't stop laughing...mainly because it's so TRUE..I'm a full time mother. I don't get paid and work more hours than some brain surgeons. My kids are little bastards though, so maybe I'm not very good at my job. At least I don't have to answer to a boss.
some have to work..i guess that's what she means.what Mom isn't a full time mother?
i got a pic i came across by coincidence, i've gotta post it here, if i find it..Without me...y'all's shit would still stay broke.
???`
Pfft.
There is no defense.
All practitioners of The Devil's Trade should be crucified forthwith.
I'd quit myself, but I sold my soul long ago to gain entry into the fraternity of the Black Art.
you'll never believe it..before, i never spelled that word right.I wasn't aware that they offered courses in "collage" making...![]()
lol, so you baby sit grown ups?Human Resources Manager.
Without us there'd be no cheesy company picnics, long borrrrrrrring meetings on diversity, annoying "you can do it" speeches and--oh yeah--staffing in general.

oh boy, you sure have it squeezed..full time student AND working??Well I'm a full-time student, but I work pretty much all the spare hours I have in a restaurant.
People who work in the food industry, and I mean all of them, work hard. Plus, you need to have good people skills (or else the job will help you to develop them).
Furthermore, I believe that hard work is character-building.
do you have a super hero? best movie? best cartoon?I'd like to...but so far haven't really decided on my future career. There are so many options and I'm literally lost in that sea of decisions. I guess I'm going to do something with languages and/or history or.....oh man...too many options especially when you don't have a particular talent for something...
AAAWESOME!!Lol, it's called being an intern. I don't get paid shit. I'm a licensed PI working as a criminal investigator for the Public Defenders Association. Believe me, it's hard work and you do change ppl's lives; in fact, depending on the case, their lives might rest in your hands. As far as manual labor goes, I clean houses on the side (have been for 5 years) and before that I changed oil for 3 1/2 (since I was 14).
at least they'll know how to clean behind them after stealing all the people's money.Accountants would make excellent presidents.
I know a lot of things that I choose not to talk about.
at least they'll know how to clean behind them after stealing all the people's money.
the first thing you learn in accountant school is that this is illegal.
No no. that is false.
Second thing we learn is to think tabular.
third thing was where the emergency exits were i think. not sure.
AAAWESOME!!
it's so amazing how people with such interesting lives get wounded up in such a seemingly boring place..
so like do you use UV light to discover trails and lasers to find trauma points and always carry a gun and see gruesome crimes everyday?
why is it that everybody here has a cool life style except for me?
you just wait till i become an engineer..(if i ever become one)
ever been to an assassination?Lol. It may sound cool, but it's a lot of paper pushing and annoying telephone calls and lots and lots of red-tape and protocol. I only get to go to the scene of the crime if the attorney recommends it and no I don't get to use the cool laser-light thingy that shows blood. I do get to interview homeless ppl, drug addicts, drug dealers, criminals, and other colorful characters and measure and diagram buildings, take photos, and generally associate with ppl that may or may not want to kill me at some given point. It is awesome, but you have to really love it to enjoy it. I have an interview this week.
don't forget the pepper spray! The guy has a criminal history so thick it could be a phone book. Yay me.![]()
lol that's what i used to think of sitting for hours in front of a screen drying your eyeballs till they shrivel up and crack..Sounds... horrible.
lol that's what i used to think of sitting for hours in front of a screen drying your eyeballs till they shrivel up and crack..
until i saw Die Hard 4..
hehe
but, well, since this is the defend your profession thread, I'll list the advantages:
can't say anything about that..- Pays very well.
exactly..getting fat and unhealthy..- Is effortless for most of the time, when a challenge does come, it's actually exciting.
- I get to work from home.
rephrase? i can't dismantle this if it's not securely built- I'm doing something that people use every day, millions of times a day, and I can go to an ATM and see the direct result of my work.
HEHEHEHE
well since this is the defend your profession thread, i guess someone has to list the disadvantages..

Actually, my time flexibility allows me to hit the gym at any time of the day. In fact, I can work from the gym.

What I meant is that the work I do is substantial, material, can be seen, yelds results, get to see people using it, I feel like I contribute.
(jk, my father is a computer engineer)
So is mine. And my two sisters, and my brother, and my brother-in-law, and my husband.
but do you?Actually, my time flexibility allows me to hit the gym at any time of the day. In fact, I can work from the gym.

aaagh dammit..you got me..but i can still say that that's not inclusive to computer scientists only..actually many jobs yield more apparent results..and many times in computer jobs you don't see what you're doing..so there!
FAMILY OF GEEKS!! lolSo is mine. And my two sisters, and my brother, and my brother-in-law, and my husband.
