Cigarettes

the NHS quit smoking help line has seen a marked increase of people trying to quit so i would go with the quiting option

More people are quitting, because the price of cigarettes has gone through the roof, with all the new taxes. People have less money to spend, and are looking for ways to cut back...so smoking is a good place to start.

I know I'm considering quitting, just for purely financial reasons.

According to the US Health Departments graph it seems to be going down.

More are quitting, not only because of the economy. But more people are becoming more health concious these days.

I think quitting. Everyone knows it's not the healthiest thing in the world to do. I also think life is much more convenient for nonsmokers, who live a state or place that has banned smoking.

It's finals week, so me and my roomate are splitting a pack over the course of a week :p

Cigs and coffee + tired college student = HYPERPOWERS!!!!

My husband is now smoking a cig and then pocketing the rest of it instead of tossing it away. I kinda wish he would toss it because he has burned 2 pants and a pair of shorts now.

Say whaaa? That's wierd as hell, does he try to put it out or anything? And wouldn't that make his pants reek of tobacco smoke?

Neat method though, I'm not a regular smoker so about half a cig is enough to light me up pretty good, the rest I just kinda stop inhaling for. In theory sounds like your husband had a somewhat neat idea, lol.

Coffee alone will give you superpowers or you can take ADHD medication that really gives you superpowers. My method is I just don't study then I'm never tired.

He pinches off the ember and pockets it. He gets in a hurry sometimes and doesn't get it all, it smolders. So if you ever see a man frantically slapping his thighs, its my husband. LOL And when he gets home, they pants/shorts go in the wash.

GRAPH

It does seem to be going up after 2006 or so... what is the number on the Y-axis referring to? If its a percentage what is it a percentage of? I was loking at it for quite a while so if this is a stupid question i apologize for my supidity and ignorance. -Spaz-

That could be a sampling error for all we know though, if smoking is on the rise as of recently, that graph isn't what we should be looking at I don't think, we'd need a month-by-month analysis or something.

(says the guy with no formal statistics classes)
