These Chechens organized a group that has attacked Chinese businessmen, they refused to lay their arms down and were dealt with accordingly.
This sort of thing happens everyday in Dagestan/Chechnya/Ingushetia...however when they get out to Vladivostok, than you need snipers.

they get out but refuse to give up and take out their weapons, thus snipers shoot them down.

well thats why I posted it. This incident was out of the ordinary. Vladivostok is a peceful town aside from gang shootings, cop bribes, and occassional illegals from North Korea.

:roflmao:

Is that a bit like saying "She's a virgin, apart form being pregnant"?

In three years from now, I will be living in Vladivostok, Russia. I am getting to know the place.

Vladivostok: Assassination of South Korean Consul, October 1, 1996.
Or
He says he was attacked by a group of young Russians trying to rob him.
"This kind of thing happens to Chinese people here all the time," he says.

Or even
Russia's Far East port city of Vladivostok is notorious for rampant crime and corruption. Residents say the violent killings of the 1990s have subsided.

Yeah Vladivostok is going back to normal, less assassinations and gang activities thanks to better economy and forces like OMON keeping the bad guys at bay. As for assassination of south korean...there are so many North Koreans in Vladivostok (5%) that it could have been more than just a gang trying to rob.

thanks guys for your sincere warm wishes

you've been saying the same thing for years now. other than that it is a personal decision to move and there is nothing wrong with it. for one thing, you were born there so it is kind of natural. it is much worse from some people who are born in a country and cry incessantly about it because the best thing to do is move. that doesnt apply to you so we really wish you well if you go through with it.

yeah I know but I set up a deadline now. If I cant finish my degree before age 25, I will move nevertheless.

I already checked it costs 950$ to fly from San Francisco, CA to Vladivostok, Russia via Asiana/KoreanAirlines. At last I will be free.

25 would be a good age, you are still young enough for people to take an interest in you if you dont know anyone in the new country. Good luck.
