I wholeheartedly agree!!! Lets do away with simulated violence of any form! Shakespeare is pretty violent; lets ban his plays for all eternity! Romeo and Juliet is forcing teenagers to take their own lives by the millions! We must end this senseless atrocity!

How I disagree with all you liberals, The boundries of decency are being pushed to the limit, and every time a boundry is crossed we push for the next one, it's the wall syndrome again ,

take a brick wall that is strong, take out a brick and it's still strong, take out another and another and it's still strong. Eventually though you will take out one brick too many and the wall will collapse.

Look what happens when you can't censor, the internet, I've recently gone onto broadband and now despite downloads to stop it am being bombarded with hardcore porn. My children are subject to it, they don't like it and it's wrong.

It's all about standards, and unfortunately many people including a number of you simply don't have any.
 
I dislike the labels that people try to put on me, i.e. Republican, Democrat, liberal, conservative, independent, etc, etc., etc.

I will tell you what I am. I hate being labeled in this manner, eventhough I don't think aghart was talking about me anyway.

You should have Net Nanny or something installed - or better yet, try raising your children yourself rather than throwing them upon the electronic babysitter.

Take some fucking responsibility.
 
All censorship, including the classification of documents is a form of oppression, as defined by the American Government, as it reduces people's right to free speech etc. And, as I have heard said "He who controls your information imagines himself your master."
However, I do agree that in the case of children, some form of censorship should exist, but it should be only parental, and not legal censorship. I admit many Internet safety products such as software or firewalls are either ineffective or overzealous, and that is an issue that should be raised - why do we not have better protection available, if we choose it.
